Swales cottage

The toilet was an issue as the flush wasn't working properly & there was dog hair absolutely everywhere 🙄 were all animal lovers but it definitely hadn't been hoovered before we got there. We had an issue regarding a van from another cottage blocked us in the house which was abit of a concern Other than that we had a great stay

Bathroom could do with some modernisation

Parking outside but the rest let it down I'm afraid.

Was very basic accommodation for the money we paid. It needs some repairs particularly bathroom and kitchen near the door.

The cottage is in a perfect location with its own parking. This alone is pretty impressive in Whitby! The size of the rooms in the cottage is fab. Had its own travel cot. Good WiFi. Sofas are small but reasonably comfy. Minimal furniture in the living room left lots of space for 3 year old to play but looked a little sparse!

The double bed was wildly soft and a bit bumpy. 4 people can stay there but literally only 4 forks so need to wash everything each meal, minimal stuff in the kitchen, not even a washing up bowl. Would be fine if you were staying a full week and happy to bring all your own things but a few basics would be great for a night or two. No dedicated outside area (which we knew), however no bench outside the front like the cottage next door. Poorly laid out bathroom, several banged heads on the window frame above the sink. The whole place needs a bit of a refresh, plaster messed up near the door and lots of areas of paint that could just do with a refresh but otherwise pretty clean. Could hear the conversation of the next cottage outside very clearly even with windows all shut!

Lovely cottage. Great location and free parking outside door. Nice and quiet but close enough. 5 minute walk to harbour and center. Clean and fully equipped. Free internet. Booked again 5 star

Decor dated, shower broken, front door not very secure, Cooker not clean, no welcome pack, no outside space for dogs, not enough channels on television.

Property was great, hidden away in a little courtyard yet an easy walk into the centre. Nice and quiet, parking was free.

Very spacious. Big kitchen and front room. And plenty of room in both bedrooms.
