Stay in Westow

Westow is a pretty village with nice walks around it. It is central to getting to York, the coast,countryside and attractions such as Castle Howard. The local pub does good food. The property is warm and cosy with a well equipped kitchen.

Bed mattresses were a little worn.

Cracking spot and really well kept. The lounge in particular is very nice.

Fantastic place to stay, I used it as a stay over for flamingo land. The kid's loved it

Spacious and comfortable accommodation. We had a problem on arrival which was speedily sorted by the hosts with apologies. Great pub with excellent food below

The apartment was in a lovely sleepy village above a very well supported pub, the Blacksmith's Arms. It was spacious and had every amenity you would need. The kitchen had a huge fridge freezer too. Good wifi coverage. The comfort of the bed was divine and the bedding was a superb quality. Car parking was not an issue, there were parking spaces for the pub or on street parking. As we were staying there to attend a wedding nearby, taxi availability was essential. We were pleased there were not only local firms, but Uber too.

Customers should be aware that there is little mobile phone signal in the area, something we fell foul of when we arrived at the property but were unable to open emails or the booking app in order to find the entry details. The staff at the pub were helpful and shared the pubs wifi with us, so we could eventually find the number code for the key lock. I would advise customers to screenshot the entry details to avoid the hiccup we encountered. This is by no means a criticism of the property.
