Location, space and view

It was hot when we stayed and not being able to open windows in the bedroom made it a very sticky night. We couldn’t get the frying pans to work on the induction hob when trying to cook breakfast. I have an induction job so know how they work.

Kitchen was well equipped. Washer/dryer excellent. Loved the cookies, chocolates and Prosecco. Location was excellent with Morrison's and Lidl not far and a lot of great hiking nearby.

Didn't like the property not having windows that could be open in the main area. Also, not having any curtains in the main area. Can't imagine what it is like if the weather is hot. Need a better space for shower essentials, i.e. shampoo, etc. My parents are 90 and 84 and handrails in the shower would be helpful and also a non-slip mat. Bedding could have been a bit more inviting. For the amount that is charged for cleaning, we didn't feel we should have to strip the beds! My husband and I have had four rental properties in the past and never asked our renters to do this.

The house lacked kitchen utensils we needed for our cooking. Most of the utensils were in the dishwasher and the dishwasher had not been emptied and cleaned from the last usage. The house lacked toys for kids, specially our toddler. There were three old puzzles that were not appropriate for him.

The Lodge was beautiful. Everything we needed was there. The views were gorgeous. Even on a wet day. It's local to amenities but in a very peaceful location. The best of both worlds.
