Beautiful cottage, clean, excellent location couldn't ask for more

We just felt at home everything was in great order

I found the upstairs bathroom beautiful but the stairs were a hazard at night for older people

We were walking the Borders Abbeys Way, and this was an ideal base. It's such a short and beautiful walk into Melrose where there's everything you need, and very good public transport links.

There was very little not to like. The village of Gattonside doesn't have any shops or pubs (there are two restaurants which are well reviewed, but they're more fine dining, rather than casual pint type places).

Lovely cottage, everything you need. Located in a quiet location. A walk 15 min to Melrose.

Location, clean to a pristine level, comfortable furnishings.

Late check in and early check out time. No shampoo/conditioner/body wash/soap for shower.

Nothing it was all great.

Great location, and adorable! The hosts were quick to respond when needed. There is street parking out front which was quite convenient. We walked over the chain bridge into Melrose (coffee, pubs, Melrose Abbey, groceries) which was lovely. There was coffee, tea and milk at the flat which was a nice touch & the view out to the garden so beautiful. We were also pleasantly surprised to find hair dryers with diffuser attachments! Everything was comfortable and clean, 10/10.

A slightly larger mirror in the downstairs bedroom would be nice, as well as somewhere to place soaps in the shower. Finally instructions on how to lock and unlock the main door would have been helpful for us as international travelers, we had a bit of a struggle. The flat was lovely though, and we would definitely stay again if we’re in the area.
