L'al Cottage, Sockbridge

Fabulous cottage in a perfect location with easy access to the Lakes. We were a family of 3 and loved this cottage - spotless, cosy and quiet in a pretty little village. Helen and Simon were great hosts sending lots of useful info. Walks available literally outside the front door, bumped into some locals who were all very friendly and welcoming. The local pub (Queens Head) was a wonderful old building full of charm and character, serving up fine pub food. Overall would highly recommend as a perfect retreat after long days in the Lakes!

The Cottage has everything you will need,the owners are very kind and prompt to answer any questions you have.... I highly recommend this place!

Lovely cottage! It was super comfy. Very well equipped. you have everything that you need. We liked the village feeling. You can reach beautiful Lake District 10 min drive. Or you can start walking just front of the house. Penrith is also very close.

The back garden could be better. It has a good aspect to sit out to the sun. But we didn't feel it enough safe(moving stones, etc..) for a toddler.

Absolute gem of cottage. Everything you could need & in a perfect location.

Cottage was clean, well stocked and had everything we could have asked for. Log fire was excellent.

Nice location, well looked after and easy to find with clear instructions and communication. A lovely village with nice local walks and a pub

Without any shops nearby, we could have done with some more essentials eg shower soap having expected to find some at the flat. Tv features were a little rusty eg no netflix so would recommend bringing a fire stick!

Location was great, cottage is comfortable and has everything you need, hosts great, local folks very friendly. Loved the fire, lovely bed and very comfortable and sound sleep. Clean and also plenty of cleaning materials if you feel the need to 'nest', stay longer, or have a particularly active day i.e., muddy walk etc. Excellent value for money, it was nice to have a few small meals at 'home' during our stay and great connections for walks, bus travel, and car travel. Lots to do and see around this area, whether you want a cosy relaxed time or an active time - we had both!

A few, minor improvements needed maybe, but very small, and no doubt hosts will make amendments to make it even more of a stella experience.

The location is perfect. Peaceful and beautiful setting. Great facilities. They have thought of everything that you might need. Welcoming music when you arrive! Lively touch.

A lovely cottage in a really good location for exploring the northern Lakes. Super cosy and well equipped. A lovely large lounge with a separate dining area and kitchen. The bedrooms are nicely furnished with good beds and sumptuous bed linen. The bathroom has a separate bath and shower. The information from Helen was very useful, especially in terms of where to park and getting access to the property.
