Excellent location, both Penrith and Ullswater are easily walkable for hikers. Great host, very cute cottage. Really impressive and would definitely go again.

Missing the basic cooking ingredients often found in similar rentals (e.g. salt, oil), although the kitchen is otherwise excellently equipped. It would be nice if extra consumables (e.g. toilet paper) were available, considering you need a car / bus / 1 hour's hike to get to the nearest shop. Some lightbulbs were out so kitchen was quite dark.

Very cosy little cottage It snowed while we were there and was very picturesque Nice little lof burner and all the facilities needed Queens head was a lovely little pub too with lovely food communication with Helen was perfect and we had a lovely little welcome hamper complete with prosecco Thank you. We will definitely be back in the future.

The steps up the garden were steep and slippy and my partner slipped off the bottom one looking for the bin so please be careful if you use them

It was perfect location for us. Very cozy and homely.

The cottage was pretty, tastefully decorated and furnished and very well equipped. As soon as we walked into the cottage, we felt that there was a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, a real home from home. Communication with the host, Helen was excellent and replies were very prompt. We had mentioned that we would be celebrating our anniversary during our stay, so we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, as well as tea, coffee and biscuits! The log burner was an added bonus and very easy to use. The shower in the bathroom worked very well. The cottage was deceptively spacious as well as feeling cosy and welcoming. The cottage was located in a small village near Tirril and Eaumont Bridge, not too far from Penrith. It was an ideal location for us to travel to Penrith and also to Keswick and the surrounding area. We catered for ourselves, but there were a number of pubs in neighbouring villages that provide good value meals. Helen the owner was really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! We would definitely stay at the cottage again!

We had to park a short distance from the cottage on the road. When we arrived, it was dark, which made the entrance to the cottage a little difficult to find. However, Helen had issued us with detailed instructions which helped enormously.

We had a delightful stay at the cottage. Place was cosy, quiet, warm and clean. Had everything needed. The hosts were very helpful and attentive. Clear instructions provided for getting to and getting into the property. Highly recommended.

The location was great. The cottage was very clean and exactly as described, the kitchen was small but had everything we needed to cook. The beds were so comfortable including the sofa bed. The hosts were helpful and easy to contact. It felt like staying in someone!s home. Thanks.

The steps going up to the garden were a little bit precarious. We had 6 people staying and there were only 4 dining room chairs but it wasn't a big problem.
