Whitby Sea View Cottage Prime Historic Old Town Location

Perfect location, great views. The parking is easy you just have to go in and get the parking scratcher from inside. We needed more so rang the cleaning lady who was really friendly and helped us immediately. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was perfect with fabulous views over the harbour and across to the church/Abbey. Close enough to all amenities but not noisy at night. Having had our own cottage in Whitby for 15 years we know how some locations can be very noisy in the evenings when the local pubs clear out. Beautiful bedrooms and bathroom and good layout for the kitchen area with everything you could possibly need and more. Parking tickets provided and was close and easy enough for check in/out but being regulars in Whitby I know that will almost certainly change as the seasons progress, through no fault of the rental. This is just how it is in Whitby.

My only suggestion, not criticism, to make this gorgeous little space better, would be a reconfigured lounge area. The TV was very small for the space and directly above the dining table with the settee on the opposite wall (around 12ft away) in an area that was actually very large for a Whitby cottage. It was also offset and had very little choice for viewing. Sometimes people do want a cosy night in after a day of exploring so I think maybe a larger TV and a different layout would make it far cosier.

Amazing location

All very good but I hadn’t noticed the lack of wifi.. my mistake entirely. We wouldn’t have stayed here if I had realised that

The location was excellent, well equipped and had everything we needed along with been clean and tidy

The situation was great and the views were fabulous

There wasn’t any WiFi There wasn’t parking outside however we where given a parking pass so we were able to unload our luggage and then drive to a marked parking area

What an amazingly beautiful property, with lovely views and relaxing vibe throughout. Comfortable beds, sofa and well stocked kitchen for all cooking needs The vehicle permit for 2 days stay was also a good touch.

I would say accessibility is not ideal for those that have mobility issues (stairs). Location to available parking is also difficult given the number of visitors to the area and permit restrictions. Had to drive around quite a bit in search of waiting for someone to leave their space.

Lovely views from all the windows ,everything you needed in the kitchen cupboards .Close to the pier and town centre

Could do with a better lock on the bathroom door and storage for clothes in the top bedroom to hang up
