"Weekend stay in June"

8.0

The location was ideal. As others had said you wouldn't require your car and can get to everything you need easily. You have everything you need within the cottage.

Please be aware that although the location was top notch it may be difficult with young children. Amusement arcades are directly below and open until late so bedtime at 9pm is difficult. I'd also have appreciated some washing up liquid as I wouldn't expect to have to bring this with me. The bathroom light didn't work.

"Fine for one night"

6.0

It was fine.

The location was far too noisy, being between two amusement arcades on a bank holiday Monday. Parking was a nightmare.

"Superb"

9.0

The location was fantastic, everything you need is within a few minutes walk and the open top bus stops just down the road, so very easy to sightsee and get around from the cottage. The cottage has wonderful views over the harbour and you can see the Abbey. It was clean and well maintained, with very comfortable beds!

"A true paradise"

10.0

Everything was absolutely perfect, the place was immaculately clean, the view was second to none. Would definitely stay again.

When we arrived, after a 10h journey we found out there was no shower gel and an inch of highly diluted hand soap. So what we did first when staying in Whitby was coop toiletries shopping :). The holiday was great notwithstanding.

"This was our first time in Whitby & we had a lovely break."

8.0

Lovely clean little cottage with a wonderful view across the water to the Abbey on the hill. Comfortable bed & good shower. Very atmospheric both day & night & a joy to wake up to the sound of the boats and water. Having a parking pass was really excellent

The steps up to the accommodation are quite steep if you have luggage to lift on arrival, but the quaint little lanes that run from it & the view make up for it! For anyone less able it might be a consideration. Sadly the wi fi wasn’t working whilst we were there, but the signal was good enough, so it was less of a problem than we initially thought.

"Easter weekend stay"

8.0

Great location very central and within easy walking distance of everywhere and directions were very easy to follow, gained access really easily, whole cottage was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay, even little things like tea and coffee. View from windows was lovely and just as pictured on site. The bathroom was lovely and the shower very powerful. Bedding and towels were all spotlessly white as well.

Parking was a nightmare, even though you are giving a parking permit trying to get parked was very difficult we ended up just paying to get in a car park and got up very early the next day to move it to the free zone. The walk up to the west cliff was fine for us but could be an issue for older people or people with mobility issues as the bank is steep and lots of steps.

Great location. Small but comfortable. Has everything you need apart from Wi-Fi. Only downside is it could do with a good clean
