The cottage was clean and had everything you need. Location is amazing!!! Real value for money. Great size rooms and shower was great. Plug sockets near a mirror, tick 😁 Will be returning with grandchildren. Thank you to the agent, great instruction for check in.

Well if I was to be picky, we'd prefer a king-size bed (it's just what I'm used to).

"A very good place to stay to enjoy what Whitby has to offer."

9.0

The view from the property is amazing, directly over the harbour towards the St Mary's Church and you can see the many visitors walking up the 199 steps pathway up to the Abbey from the Bram Stoker Novel 'Dracula'. (Binoculars are supplied - thanks) Easy access to the beach and town centre(s), parking was thankfully quite close on the Kyber Pass, so just around the corner from the property. From there you can walk up some layers of stone steps to the Royal Hotel and see the Whale Bones through which you can see Whitby in all its glory. Walks around Flowergate open up to some unusual shops and retail outlets. Whilst you are in fact right in the 'middle of things' within the property, and there are Amusement Arcades and many food outlets around and right underneath you, you don't have any real disturbances, it was all quiet at night, and everything takes a while to wake up in the morning - quite remarkably so. A real little lovely hub. The beds and the bedding were cosy and there is plenty to do and visit around to occupy you. So many places to eat and drink you are spoilt for choice. The parking permit is obviously a god send. Thank you.

Be prepared for the 27 steps up to the property between the Arcades, particularly if bringing heavy luggage (really need to reduce my packing!) but in these winter months there is the requirement for coats and jumpers). The furniture could perhaps be re-arranged slightly differently to make the most of the views. The table in the corner might be better placed to enable you to appreciate the views, but it was ok for just the two of us when eating. Similarly whilst the settee faced the TV, I think I would have preferred it in front of the window to make the most of the views. Everything one needed in the kitchen for a couple of nights (I didn't need to cook) but I could have done with a sharper bread knife (made a real mess of a loaf of Sour dough !). But hey these are minor things. A very nice property to stay in and brilliant for a quick get away.
