"Good location but very disappointing the house needs a full clean and refresh."

5.0

The location was excellent on the seafront with a great view. There was plenty of hot water and parking.

Internally the property was tired as if the owners have run out of enthusiasm. The decorations could do with refreshing but you wouldn’t notice that so much if the place was clean. The toilet has limescale at the bottom of the pan. The mop supplied in the bathroom to clear the wet room floor was filthy and stank. Using the safety mat for the bath we didn’t expect the bath to fill up with the mould and slime off the bottom of the mat which clearly hadn’t been cleaned for months. The hairs coming out of the waste to the bath were dreadful. The kitchen required a good clean and the seats provided for both the inside and outside chairs are all stained. Ventilation is a problem due to design as to get air in the main bedroom you need to open the door which isn’t possible in windy conditions and Seaford is a very windy location. The same for the lounge. The standard is not uo to Air Premier standard whatever that is supposed to be. Disappointing to say the least. The whole house needs a full deep clean and some love an attention.

"Disappointing overall on cleanliness, bedding and towels clean but nothing else."

5.0

The location was lovely. Clean bedding and towels

The decking is rotting and healthy and safety issues. The place was not clean at all tea stains in the sink, smells from the wet room drain, curtains did not fit the window in the front seat facing g bedroom people could see you in bed. Rugs on the landing move need grippers. Welcome book says first season you would expect it to be fresh and clean the whole place needs a deep clean and paint job. The key safe needs replacing as it is hard to open as very worn.

Overall great location, clean and well equipped with nice balcony to relax, sadly sluding door not fixed and stay closed . Not responding to requests for invoice for stay which caused a bit of waisted time but overall property good. Please treat your customers with respect and swiftly as you would like to be treated.

"An excellent place for a peaceful getaway."

9.0

A very lovely place located on the seafront, a stones throw from the beach. Seaford is a lovely place with Newhaven on one side and the seven sisters cliffs on the other. From the main bedroom you get a lovely view of the seafront and glorious sunsets whilst sat on the balcony. It's well equipped with a wonderful wet room incorporating a shower and large bath. The lounge and kitchen area is very spacious with comfortable seating and dining space. We were though unable to use the downstairs garden as the patio doors were broken, but despite this it's a lovely place. Also having it's own parking was a bonus. Communication was excellent as well.

"Visiting family, perfect location, close to beach and other amenities! Great for family dog walks!"

9.0

Location was perfect. So close to the beach it was great hearing the sound of the waves! The distance to the town and other places was perfect, lots of places to eat and some lovely recommendations. The property was really well laid out, comfortable, it had a lot of things you would need. The balcony in the front bedroom was a definite highlight. Loved watching the coming and going along the beach front. We didn’t need it but could see the fan in there being very useful in the summer. Great private parking on the driveway also useful that parking is free along the seafront. Peaceful location though close enough to Brighton or Eastbourne to be able to explore a fantastic base. Some lovely walks close by, our little dog especially loved his say. It was lovely waking up on the morning to the sound of the sea.

Property might benefit from a sofa bed and more bedding. Though just splitting hairs for our situation. More air extraction in bathroom might keep the lovely barroom nicer for longer. It had a lovely skylight though could find a way to open it! Maybe this high area could do with a clean.

"Comfortable week with brilliant sunsets."

8.0

Location was great, bed exceptionally comfortable and a lovely wet room bathroom. Always plenty of hot water.

The top oven did not work and the outside space was very scruffy. No instructions re putting the dustbins out fortunately a neighbour did it as they were overflowing.

"Great location - Lacking TLC and sub-standard in so many areas."

4.0

First - the location is fantastic; wonderful sea views from the downstairs and also the balcony. We saw some great sunsets. Pre-arrival comms were great, inc a video for the key box. Modern bathroom and kitchen. Private parking adjacent to the property. This could be a top notch rental - if cared for!

Having looked at previous reviews the theme of how unkempt the property is totally prevails. Sadly the comments made by others are akin to mine; in short the place lacks care, detail and wasn't clean. On arrival - the door surround/front was rusty and needs a paint/tidy-up. It was unwelcoming. On accessing the property we were presented with soiled towels and bedding from the previous occupiers lying on the stairs!! (another reviewer had encountered the same). We nearly walked out at this point!! The decking is in a sorry state; as was the wilderness of the front bricked garden. Both looked very scruffy and the well worn patio table/chairs were no better. Some of the patio seat cushions were stained; not what we expect at any rental! The balcony table was under a bed - no problem but when we put it on the balcony itself it needed a good clean. The stairs carpet is long overdue a good shampooing. The frying pan was filthy on the outside. Just 2 egg-cups for a property for 4 is an added indication of the lack of care and professionalism involved by those managing the letting. The front door leaked water into the kitchen area when it rained. There was also a smell of damp in that area. And the pièce de résistance; I had a laugh at what I saw in the rear bedroom! A first for me, I could hardly believe it - seeing the bedside cabinet (which didn't match other furniture) supported by irregular blocks of wood! What has happened to 'standards'? Some major TLC is needed throughout. Such a shame, as the potential is amazing; but we won't be back.
