Modern and warm house

Clean and orderly

Deceptive ad. It's called a "modern and warm house" but it's actually a built out basement with people in the unit above. The footsteps and stomping above are very loud and started at 6 am! They also have no air-conditioning and it's uncomfortably warm! They didn't inform us to it being a basement and not having air-conditioning until the day before check-in making it impossible to cancel and find other accommodations. Furniture in living area is very uncomfortable. In fact, the accent chair is very small, kiddie size, like it came from a preschool! Registration through the managers online link was awful. They showed my phone number as from México, wanted me to upload my passport, and tried to charge me for extra fees. Overall the property is too pricey for what you get.

Loved the safe cozy feel that this place offered! Very clean as well and everything was in great condition.

Comfortable and clean - everything worked well. Parking in alley close to entry (bottom of house). Good value for 2 bedrooms and kitchen.

Couch could have been more comfortable (minor complaint).

The location was perfect. We appreciated it being only on the ground floor, no stairs. Dedicated parking right in front accessible from the alley in back. Very close to UW. So very thankful for the free parking provided. The home was very cozy and roomy. Everything was very clean and neat. Communication with the owners was easy and they responded quickly. The beds were comfy and grateful for the fans provided. Kitchen was very nice and clean. Scrabble was joyfully played.

If possible, a new showerhead because the one currently there does not spray evenly or softly. We were concerned about being too loud and disturbing the neighbors when using the blow dryer provided because it was loud and very weak so we had to use it longer.

Great area, quiet and leafy. Well equipped apartment and modern in decor.

Being a basement, noise from above was a little off putting.

Really lovely park-like street. Ease of entry with code. Off street parking provided. TWO bedrooms. Keurig coffee provided and some sugar and oil. No a/c but great fans and several of them. Good kitchen.

We had a car, but...if you were on foot, it's quite a ways to a grocery of coffee shop, and anywhere you go, it's uphill all the way back. Walls somewhat white and bare....could use some color to warm it up.

This place is very cute and cozy. The hosts were very kind and left water and coffee for us to have. The place is very clean and provided a lot of amenities. The bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. The location was easy to find and the instructions were easy to follow to access. There was parking available which is helpful!

This would be a 9.5 with a couple improvements. A comfortable couch! After exploring all day, we really wanted a comfortable place to relax when we got back. The couch is just so uncomfortable. And a luggage stand for each bedroom. Had to put our suitcases opened up on the floor. Made it very challenging and inconvenient.

The door has a passcode but the property owner had given us prior notice that it might not work. So they gave us the combination key to the lockbox. This made it easy to collect the property keys. The location is excellent -- short (15-20 mins) walk to a car rental, groceries, variety of restaurants, UW campus, ... Plenty of street parking and in the private driveway (access from alley) and access to public transportation. Plenty of hangars, tea/coffee, kitchen basics - sugar, pepper, spice, oil, and condiments, ... bathroom soaps, towels, and washer/dryer detergent, ...

1. Noise -- We completely agree with other reviewers about the noise from upstairs -- The advertising description for the apartment does not mention that this is a basement apartment. Although the walls might be soundproof, the ceiling is not. The owner has thoughtfully provided a stash of earplugs so we tried them. But honestly, we have a light sleeper in our family who is quite sensitive to noise, we could still hear the noise and feel the vibrations when the kids upstairs were running and jumping from one end of the house to the other. Also, is it really expected and natural to wear earplugs all day while you are on vacation? 2. Access to House -- The passcode never worked during our entire stay. We had to use the key EVERY TIME we left the house. Since there was only the one set of keys, we had to remember to store it back in the lockbox for other family members to use if we split up. That was a bit of a hassle.
