Owl Cottage

There were just a few simple touches that made all the difference - the cottage was warm on arrival, there was a Xmas tree, a lovely ginger cake left, fresh milk - just felt generous, easy and welcoming.

Nothing could have been better.

We arrived on a cold, frosty afternoon and were greeted by a warm and comfortable cottage. So pleased we didn't have to work out how to control the central heating. I travelled with 3 sisters to see The Thursford Xmas Spectacular and enjoy a Xmas weekend. The host very kindly agreed to put a Xmas Tree up in the cottage. We cooked a full Xmas dinner with all the trimmings. The facilities at the cottage were good, and Lena the host, replied quickly to any enquiries. The email giving details of finding the cottage was really helpful.

Access to the cottage is via a side road, which is full of pot holes. Because of the weather, these became big puddles and were icy. Quite dangerous at night as there is no street lightng

Everything! First of all the owner of the place was amazing, always available if needed and extremely caring… Secondly, the place was so super cozy, beautiful, super clean, beds comfortable, sheets super soft etc. (we travel a lot so we get a bit picky usually but here it is a 10/10 😀… ) It has been decorated with great taste and love! When you come in you just don’t want to leave! 🙂

Pretty cosy cottage with good sized rooms and garden. Really lovely decor and furnishings. Everything we needed was provided and a yummy cake too.

Bedroom TV didn’t work and reception downstairs very spotty. Shame no standup shower in main bathroom but the bathroom itself was lovely.
