"A very cosy place to stay but some areas needed some attention."

7.0

The location was nice and quiet, the house itself matches the pictures, very old fashioned but with modern facilities (kitchen and toilets etc). They provied alot of common essentials like bath robes, local soaps, coffe pods etc, which was much appreicated The place was definitely large enough to accomadate the number of people and spacious Mark, who dealt with some details during our stay, was very responsive and helpful during the stay. Definitely deserved a shout out.

While the place matches the pictures, the place was a bit disappointed in some areas. The heat tile floors was cracked and some areas had existing damange and lack of door locks While the overall common place was clean and tidy, we couldn't help notice areas that could have been maintain better (Bin bags overfilling outside, weed in Garden, easy to reach placed dusty/spider webs, etc.) The toilets/water system struggled to refill and thus has flushing issues and ensuite was prone to flooding if you arent careful.

The house was lovely and spacious, well kitted out

Sofa was full of dog hairs from previous visit and in the rooms. May i suggest a deep clean prior to next party arrives. Check out is way to early especially when check in is so late( arrived a 19:30 as was stuck in traffic) Some of the toilets needs tlc as would not flush Front door security needs updating, could easily break in and blinds did not close. So people could see straight in.

"Disappointing - definitely not luxurious"

4.0

Location was good in nice countryside with Aysgarth Falls a pleasant walk away

Aysgarth Nook was booked for 5 friends of 40 years standing to celebrate two 60th birthdays and the description and photos made the house seem perfect for this occasion. However, I can only report that we were all completely underwhelmed and disappointed with the property. By no stretch of the imagination could this property be described as newly renovated or uber luxurious and the photos used to market the property do not match the reality. At best it is a nice country cottage. Weeds growing outside the front of the house were not a very welcoming sight on our arrival. The decoration throughout the whole house appeared tired and shabby with marks on the walls and woodwork and chipped and peeling paint. In every room downstairs the tiled flooring had multiple areas that were cracked and loose; one area by the sofa was particularly hazardous and could have caused personal injury. There were stains on the sofa and carpets and mould in the main shower. The window in the front double bedroom had failed double glazing, a phone line connection box barely affixed to the wall and cobwebs. On reading past reviews it seems that some issues which had previously been reported have never been rectified: • No plug sockets near mirrors for hairdryers and applying make-up. • Downstairs toilet struggling to flush. • Poor drainage in the sink & shower in the ensuite bathroom • Removal of weeds from the decking area In addition to the above: • The window blinds in the lounge were inaccessible – you cannot expect guests to climb over a sofa to use these. • No doormat – we arrived on a very wet day which made the tiled flooring slippery. • There was no bedside light in the front double room. • The bedside light in the rear double room was not working. • There was no mirror in the twin room and the single beds were not full size for adults. • Most doors were ill fitted and had to be banged to close, the noise of which could be heard throughout the house.

"Lovely location, lovely house, just what the Dr ordered - thank you"

10.0

There where so many things to like. The location and there was lots of really sweet extra's like teabags, coffee pods, a bottle of milk and a bottle of Prosecco on arrival. The lovely dressing gowns, quality soaps and shampoo's. Scatter cushions with funny quotes. It was just lovely. Easy to manage elderly parents, young nephew and a dog. The house had a lot of different needs and met them all.

I really can't think of anything missing.

"Disappointing"

It is not described accurately on the information and there were cleaning and DIY issues which were not dealt with. Such a pity!
