Farneholm

It’s a comfortable warm airy house in a stunning location looking over a beautiful bay where you can watch the sea rolling in and out from the bedroom window and there are plenty of seabirds to spot from the front bedroom too. Pubs and restaurants are within 10-15 minutes walk, as are the beaches. There’s a sheltered platform at the back of the house where you can sit and relax. Beds and sofas are comfortable. There are two clean bathrooms. Lovely stay.

Perfect location for surrounding attractions and the beach. The view is incredible and we spent a lot of time watching the raging sea crashing over the sea wall during the bad weather.

Nothing not to like. I’ve seen some comments regarding the property looking a little tired but it’s lived in and has provided comfort to many people so understandably it will have some ‘wrinkles’. Does not detract from the homeliness or appealing location.

Kitchen and cleanliness overall

This was the second time I booked this property. I only had the house last time but this time I booked the House and the Annex. This House and the Annex are perfectly located in Beadnell Bay - clean with good facilities and good for parking off road. The house is just a few minutes walk to the Harbour Beach which is large and beautiful. If you go the other way you are 5-10 minutes walk to the more rocky beach. That is where there are two Pubs/Restaurants - 2 Cafes and a Shop - which are right next to the Camping and Caravan Club Site of Beadnell Bay.

Just the fact I couldn't use the garden door that connected the Annex to the Garden in the house. My older children were staying in the House and I was in the Annex - I had the Dog but had to keep trying to wake the kids op to get into the garden through the house. It spoilt it a bit for me I had paid a lot to have the two places so that my family could all be together. . I think with more Notice this would have been sorted. So Next time I will ask if I can have the key to that door to the garden from the Annex when I book. You can se why they can't just leave it there if two separate families book the properties. Hey if that's the only complaint you know it's a good place to stay.

Amazing location and view. We watched the sunrise on the morning and it was amazing.

The oven wasn't great. But it worked.
