Farneholm

After reading some previous reviews we were a little nervous but the property was great, very clean and comfortable with everything we required for a short break. Location was amazing and the views from the bedroom fabulous. The property is not a modern one and if that is what you are looking for this may not be the property for you, there are a couple of small minor things that you could find to complain about if you were that way inclined, but it is a holiday let that accommodates dogs as well as people (clearly a bonus!) and I feel you need to be realistic. We absolutely loved it, it was perfect for our 4nt break and we would definitely come back. The hosts were communicative and helpful.

The location is amazing and is the reason we returned after staying at this property last year. You are close proximity to a number of sites to visit. Also perfect for water sports in Beadnell Bay. Parking for 2 cars if required. Beautiful sea view.

Unfortunately the property is in a tired state. It needs some updating in most areas. The cleanliness was poor. Although they charge the extra fee if people stay with pets I'm not sure what that goes towards. The cleaning basically consisted of fresh bedding and towels and a general wipe round. No furniture was moved. Cooker wasn't cleaned and still had food in grill pan. Dishwasher still had items in from previous occupants. On an additional note the property next door is having 8 weeks of major renovations. So although the property cannot control this - it did have a massive impact on our stay and we left 2 days early. They did offer us a meal voucher as a good will gesture but we had already decided to leave at that point. It's such a shame as the property has so much potential and could be beautiful.

Location and view excellent. Easy access to local points of interest. Good parking for family vehicle.

A lot of the facilities need attention, dripping taps, mould in the en-suite, the headboard in the master bedroom wasn’t fixed so every time you moved it clattered on the wall, no toiletries were provided, animal hairs in the wardrobe in the lounge where the ironing board and iron were stored, lots of areas looked like they had had a quick fix. A washing machine but no where to dry the washing, no airer, no washing line in the garden. I always strip the beds before I leave, I was horrified at the state of the pillows, they were seriously bad! This house has so much potential. It just lacks some TLC.

Good location near the sea. Nice view from master bedroom window. Decent sized property for 4 people. Extra bathrooms were good.

A little unloved. Decor and overall furnishings/kitchen fixtures should have been better (for the price we paid). Awkward layout for my elderly parents to navigate eg,living room door partially blocked by furniture. Very uncomfortable sitting outside with the exhaust from the boiler next door blowing directly over the decking. Thankfully only one night.

Fantastic location and views - loved sitting in the window area upstairs Beds very comfy as was the sofa Great to have 2 bathrooms Enclosed Garden is a real added bonus especially with the visiting bunny rabbits! Very dog friendly including dog bowls.

Not a lot really!! Maybe just a couple more mugs!

Beautiful location. Stunning views.

Maybe a bit of work needed on the decoration which was worn or marked in places. Shower hose may need replacing soon or a good clean. No major problems.

Location fabulous. Parking was easy. Very central to main tourist spots.

Could have been a full length mirror in main bedroom. No teapot in kitchen. Some things were a little worn and could do with a touch up.
