excellent location nice and quiet well stocked and very clean. in need of decorating and carpets cleaned but I understand this is being carried out. super comfortable beds!

"Terrible Experience"

Development site straight across from the cottage where half of the hillside was removed for 5 of our 7-day stay - woken early most mornings by diggers and their reversing alarms, tractors, chainsaws and on one morning, by the cottage shaking because a stone wall was demolished (we couldn’t sit out in the garden either, as the noise was so loud). Stays York told us the development would just be for 2 days but it was for the remaining 5. They would only refund 27% which meant we still paid over £1,000 for this terrible holiday. Also, this is not the only development site on the Raithwaite Estate.
