Casa Mourisca - Albino d'Óbidos

Quirky , original eclectic and fun! WOW right in the middle of the action of this historic town!! Modern amenities with a twist. TV had all I needed in a comfy living room. A real twist on mingling the past with the present.

Salt , pepper bit of oil to cook would be nice . It’s basic and doesn’t spoil , so why not ? A real hassle for the people who want to actually use the kitchen . You have to live on 3 levels , bedroom Up top , kitchen and tv room on main floor , and ..,bathroom in the basement. Some may have issues with the spiral staircase , I loved it .. others might not. Can be a bit cool in the fall months.

We loved our stay here! It was so amazing to have sunrise with the castle wall views right outside the window. The location can't be beat, or the ability to walk around the town before anyone else arrives for the day. Our host had great communication and was understanding when we had to check out a little late at the last minute. We found it to be our favorite value from our Portugal trip.

The narrow steep stairs to go between the 3 levels could be a little tricky.

Absolutely beautiful house! Perfect location. Looks exactly as pictured. Very comfortable, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Fun and unique place to stay, well maintained for an old building. The separation of three levels (bathroom, living area, and bedroom) might be a bit of a challenge if you have trouble navigating stairs. But the location couldn’t be any better! It was fun to be able to wander around the old city with the castle lit up at night.

Our GPS took us up a steep, unpaved road to get to the free overnight parking, but the next day we saw that there was a paved road that went to the same place.

The house is very charming and the location is perfect. The view from the loft’s tiny balcony is amazing. There is free parking not too far just outside the gate. The house is very clean and spacious.

The towels and beddings are clean but they are a little old. Beware that there are a lot of stairs going to the bathroom from the loft bedroom.

Location was very convenient inside the walls.

Provided coordinates to find location. GPS had us carrying our bags much further than necessary. Would be helpful to give a description of how to find property. It was close to parking and would be an easy share of information. The bedroom is a loft going up a narrow staircase and bathroom is in basement going down a spiral metal staircase. This information is not provided in the description of the property and should be.

Location right next to the wall and castle. The Casa is small on 3 levels and very interesting and comfortable.

There was nothing we didn’t like, but guests should realize parking is outside the castle, so the walk in is along narrow cobblestone streets!
