Nether Farm Barns

The Barn end was comfortable & clean, although there were some marks on the downstairs toilet floor that gave the appearance that some cleaning had been skipped. In actual fact, the marks were under the wood stain. The location was great for many of the Peak Districts many attractions, and served as a great base from which to visit them.

For someone who is 6'2" tall, the spiral staircase took some navigating, especially towards the top where I had to duck to get under the sloping ceiling.each time I went up. The bathroom, too, had a sloping ceiling above the sink, which became a little uncomfortable after time due to having to stoop to get to the sink. One previous review mentions that the property would benefit from more than 4 place settings of both crockery and cutlery, and I have to agree, it would. One has to remember though that despite the points mentioned above, this is a converted barn and that those points are intended to offer practical advice to others intending to visit and is certainly not a criticism of what is a lovely comfortable converted barn. Would I stop again?..............erm no, as I think I'd look for somewhere without a spiral staircase next time.

Comfortable and spacious yet cosy. Sitting room has a lovely wood burning stove. Very well decorated and furnished and maintained well. Bread, milk, eggs, tea and coffee provided as well as soaps and shower gels in the bathroom. Beautiful surroundings with lots of places to visit within driving distance.

Some low beams and doorways on the ground floor to be wary of.
