La Fonte Di Ortigia

This property is extremely well located on Ortigia being close to all the attractions as well as shopping and restaurants and cafes, but the real bonus is our host, Diago, who is happy to do anything to improve your stay and is in regular communication with tips etc.

We loved the place. Location is perfect, apartment is spacious. The host (Diego) is really kind and welcoming. Our experience in Siracusa was really good. The breakfast was nice, next to a fountain. Highly recommend this place.

Everything! - It’s the perfect location in the old town, close to restaurants, sights, shops, bars, but still a quiet place. - The studio was perfect size for a couple, had a great coffee machine and generally equipped with everything we needed. - The host Diego was truly amazing and went above and beyond. He made our stay so great, helped us out with parking and recommendations. He was available throughout our stay if we needed anything, we’re so grateful! - The breakfast at a nearby cafe was just the perfect way to start our days. Overall, we couldn’t have got a better value!!

The apartment is very functional and as pictured. It’s in a great location in terms of being near good restaurants, a direct path to the piazza and all the charm of Ortigia. Breakfasts are basic but on a beautiful square and it was fun people watching. Communication with Diego was prompt and his directions were accurate and we are very grateful his dad helped with parking. He even checked in after our first night to make sure all was well 🙂.

As others have stated the noise is a real factor. I chose this spot knowing about it so in fairness I can’t complain, and it’s not a fault of our host.

The location was excellent! And the apartment had everything we needed including a washer machine and a nice coffee machine. Diego and his dad went out of their way to meet our needs. Excellent customer service by the owner!

The flat is small but comfortable in the very centre of Ortygia. It has two balconies and a small kitchen furnished for cooking. We stayed there with three children in February, so the town wasn't packed with tourists and we had a very nice experience. Diego is a great host. We were in touch from the moment we rented a car in Catania. He waited for us at the appartment, helped us with luggage and then he showed us where to find free parking in Ortygia. Breakfast in Piazza Archimedes Caffé on the central square is included and it is delicious. We had granita or coffee and we could choose from a variety of sweet or salty pastry. The staff was very friendly. Diego also recommended a boat trip around Ortygia and in the caves, which was very nice and informative. We really appreciated Diego's personal approach, which is very rare nowadays, when you usually only find keys in the keybox.

We have nothing to complain about.

Best place on our Sicily journey. Highly recommendable.
