Nether Onston Cottage

Location and hospitality were fabulous

The hostess was super helpful - we were on bikes and she drove one of us into Stromness to buy supplies. The view of sunsets and sunrises across the loch from the little cabin in the garden was spectacular.

Everything was wonderful

Location is perfect for exploring Orkney and the view across the Loch to the Ring of Brogdar is delightful. The cottage has everything you need for a lovely stay.

Amazing location (especially if you are by car). Very central, very quiet and beautiful house. Communication was amazing and super helpful.

Everything was great

Cottage was open on arrival. Milk, bread, tea, coffee was provided and lovely touch of eggs provided from their own hens. Delicious 😋

The accommodation was very spacious and very well equipped. A welcome pack was very generous and had local provisions . The accommodation is so close to major tourist attractions but very peaceful.our weather was splendid so the outdoor garden seating and summer house were lovely to watch exceptional sunsets .

The whole experience was fantastic. Great hosts, perfect location, clean and tidy, great layout. We would stay there again, a truly memorable experience!

The house was lovely - the photos don't do it justice! There is everything you might need. You can see the Ring of Brodgar from the garden. Bella was great and went out of her way to make us feel welcome, even alerting us when the Northern Lights were showing. Would definitely stay again if on Orkney

We loved the quiet, rural location next to the Loch. We were able to watch superb sunrises and sunsets from the property. The cottage is centrally located and easy to get to all parts of the Mainland. The hosts are locals, very chatty and helpful with local knowledge.
