The property was more spacious than expected with an incredible Japanese architectural aesthetic. It’s minimalist design is easily appreciated in the middle of this peaceful and remote community in Takayama. It contained all the necessary amenities and services for a comfortable stay. Not only this, but the owner was absolutely wonderful and made our stay so much more comfortable and memorable. She put effort into making sure we had what we needed and even offered to drive us to the nearest station so we wouldn’t have to walk the distance to the property.

The property is located a fair walk away from the nearest restaurants and grocery stores. However, this does not worsen the experience as the property overlooks beautiful scenery that can’t be achieved in a more populated area. In other words, the location is to be expected.
