"Loved it!"

10.0

The location with super views, the staff - the delightful Mrs Betty and her husband were helpful, warm and really went beyond to make us feel welcome and safe. Mr Panos the owner helped us map out our adventures across the island with great recommendations. Felt we were part of a little village!

Nothing really the accommodation was as I expected - clean and comfortable with everything required. People should remember that the villa’s are self catering on an island with limited infrastructure including this water resources after a very dry season.

"Beautiful views but that’s it."

6.0

The location and Miss Betty? Who did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable.

This property could be an amazing place if it wasn’t for so many things that need to be fixed, replaced, updated. There is one iron, one blow dryer available for all the units. There is no air conditioning upstairs only downstairs but the main bedroom is upstairs The showers have no screen so the water goes everywhere to the point where the doors have swelled up due to water damage. There’s a little Kitchen downstairs but no cooktop, no microwave etc. normally that wouldn’t be an issue but this property as best as the scenery is, it’s a long way to the shops. The owner has a little gem in his hands but unfortunately it needs major maintenance.

"I would not recommend anyone to stay here, the place is a scam."

1.0

The location was great looking over the ocean

The accommodation was an absolute shit hole. The place is dirty, poorly upkept and the facilities don’t work properly. We had brown water, no water at times and no power at times. Very disappointed with our stay.

Kaladi Rock Resort – A Seaside Haven Worth Every Moment Kaladi Rock Resort is a true gem, nestled in a magical location overlooking the shimmering Aegean Sea. Every house in the resort offers breathtaking views of the nearby Antikythira, creating an idyllic backdrop for your stay. The tranquility of the resort, combined with its proximity to two of the island’s most stunning beaches, Kaladi Rock (just a short walk away) and Avlemonas (a quick drive), makes this the perfect destination for beach lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. One of the standout features of the resort is its deep commitment to sustainability. The innovative seawater infinity pool, replenished daily with fresh seawater, offers a refreshing and environmentally friendly way to relax while gazing out over the horizon. The resort is entirely energy self-sufficient, thanks to its highly efficient photovoltaic system and impressive battery storage, ensuring a reliable and eco-conscious power supply throughout your stay. Animal lovers will feel right at home here, as the warm-hearted hosts care for a variety of ducks and hens, adding a rustic charm to the experience. We were even treated to a delightful omelet made with fresh eggs from their hens, a lovely touch of farm-to-table hospitality. The nearby village of Avlemonas is a charming escape, with its picturesque streets and inviting restaurants offering delicious local cuisine. The resort’s location makes exploring the rest of the island a breeze, with easy access to beautiful beaches and the port of Diakofti, just a 15-minute drive away. Swimming in Diakofti’s crystal-clear waters feels almost surreal, as if you’ve been transported to an exotic paradise. The hospitality at Kaladi Rock Resort is second to none. Panos and his team go above and beyond to ensure that every guest’s needs are met, offering warm, personalized service that makes you feel right at home. For anyone seeking a perfect blend of nature and sustainability

"A nice stay with a superb view. Mrs Betty was so helpful! A little maintenance is all that is needed"

7.0

We really liked the view and the people running the hotel. The bed was very comfortable too. It would have been great to have extra pillows.

The hotel needed alot of maintenance and repair There was no air conditioning which it needs. Our room did not have an extra mobile fan which i know was present in other rooms. After the rain there were alot of insects, and worms everywhere in the rooms.

"The property is at a beautful location, but in the hands of the greedy owner/management."

3.0

The location and view of the property are what gets you. Everything else is bad.

Fake eco-hotel. The "eco" stands for "economical", NOT "ecological". Your stay starts with hearing a lot of nonsene from the owner, like "there is no electricity on the island", "there is no water on the island", "everyone else is running on diesel power generators, buy they run on solar", bla bla. The "off-grid" statement is a cheap fake excuse to save them electricity/money. They don't want you to know that hence the policy to no enter the power house and to no open the distribution panels. If you understand how solar power works, ask a couple of questions, and you'll figure out they may not even have a real solar power system, just a timer that shuts off the grid power. Have toured the island for a full week, and did not encounter a single running diesel generator. The AC is only on the first floor and works whenever the owner feels like, not when you need it. Again, genius positioning to get away with running a hotel during a hot summer at very low energy cost. See the pic which proves that the second floor had an AC, was simply removed to save cost. Then you'll get recommended places from the owner that are on the other side of the island, but he wouldn't tell you that just outside of the hotel there is a cafe where you can get drinks and breakfast. Have been reading about "farm eggs" in the reviews, but weren't offered. Housekeeping mentioned it, but said you have to kindly ask the landlady for it, and she may make an omelet for you. There is zero service at the hotel, you can't even get a bottle of water. Remember, "eco-hotel". Almost every day we were greeted by an army of ants, and if you ask the cleaning lady for help, she will give you attitude and explain that it's normal, that you are in nature. For a 200+ euro/per night you are getting a bare minimum place to sleep, nothing else.

Stunning view, spectacular sunrises. Ideal for nature lovers. Very friendly manager and service.

Some improvements to the air conditioning system and to the kitchenette would bring the score to 10, but this can be considered negligible in the overall judgment.
