Applegrove Country Park, Scarborough

the place was lovely and quiet, very clean and had lots to do near by.

I was quite annoyed when learning that for my 2 days away the hot tub was not already filled which i would of thought was normal. and the oven never worked so we were stuck one night with food we had bought for the oven to cook when it didnt turn on.

Cooker hob only worked on 2 rings not 4. The mattresses in the second bedroom need replacing as the springs have come through so we didn't get much of a good nights sleep.

Lovely little lodge in a nice quiet location. Clean and comfortable. Hot tub was excellent. We had a fantastic weekend break.

There was nothing to dislike

Enjoyed the get away and the fact is was a quiet area with a hot tub.

Regular power cuts leaving us with no heating and limited use of the hot tub because of these power cuts.

The villa was really clean and had most things you need in it. Only thing i tried looking for an couldnt find was an iron, but there was an ironing board so was confused. The hot tub and sauna was very clean and really enjoyed my few days at villa 22. It was so quiet which was really nice. Went to destress and escape life for a few days which i definately did. Will definatety be returning. Also when we struggled to access the property and needed to ask a question, the lady on the other end of the phone was lovely and helped

Nice location and quiet, good sized lodge

On arrival the lodge was very hot and smelt of cannabis, my partner originally thought it was just the smell of the lodge because it was hot so we let it air out and he used the hot tub for a bit and I sat outside. When we went back in it wasn’t as hot but still smelt a bit of cannabis, my partner showered then went into the master bedroom where he noticed there was a dirty Nike sock over the fire alarm (not only dangerous but disgusting), which is obvious that the previous guests had been smoking cannabis in the bedroom and put the sock over the fire alarm to stop it from going off. We contacted the owner through booking.com and they didn’t reply (until the following morning) we also tried to call the park manager 3 times but no answer, at about 11pm when we went to bed we pulled the duvet back and noticed there was tobacco on the bed, after checking the bedding further we noticed lots of yellow stains on the bed and it seemed to us that the bedding had not been changed from previous guests!! At that time we were unable to contact the owner as it was now about 11:30pm and we didn’t bother trying to call the manager number due to them not answering the previous 3 times. We also noticed there was sellotape over the vent in the master bedroom which is again dangerous. We ended up staying due to how far we were from home and how late it was but if it wasn’t so late or too far from home we would of left because it was disgusting and we didn’t want to stay. The kitchen tap was also broken and the tv on the master bedroom wall was not there but had the bracket for it, we did report all of this to the owner and to booking.com and the owner said they would follow this up and asked me to also report to booking.com direct too but have still not heard back from either, for £264 this is an absolute joke and we will definitely not be returning! Beautiful property, good condition, great location. Hot tub was amazing. Host were super responsive and helped with issue with no towels being left.

Sadly the cleanliness let it down. I had to rewash every pan and utensil that I used as there was food/oil on them all from the last people. Plates/glasses etc were fine but the pans and utensils looked like they had been put away unwashed. Not the fault of the host but should have been checked by the cleaners, cleaners also forgot to leave towels. Sadly put a bit of a dampener on it but otherwise great.

A beautiful property, with spacious and comfortable bedrooms and a lovely large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing in and was spotlessly clean.
