We loved everything about this house! The views, the comfort, the treats left by the hosts.... amazing communication... spotlessly clean ... amazing showers, fluffy blankets, the decor... a 10 minute drive into Edinburgh and 5 mins into Portobello... we were sad to leave!

The rain - didn't manage to use the garden but that's ok as indoors was super relaxing!

I slept in downstairs bedroom with en-suite and the fan made noises all night long so had little sleep

All the small comforts of home were supplied - absolutely nothing lacking

Wish we had been slightly closer to city centre but not hosts fault

Only small improvement would be a door to the upstairs bedroom.

Absolutely beautiful home. The 5 of us spent the best weekend here, it really felt like a home from home. Lots of lovely touches. Spacious yet cosy, super clean. Hoping to come back and spend longer here next time.

Craigey Beach cottage is your perfect "home away from home". The location is super convenient, the house is cozy and comfortable, the hosts are amazing and very responsive... and you get a fox to visit once in a while in the garden which we thought was a unique plus :-) Not to mention free parking in front of the house, which is convenient. We appreciated all the treats that were there for us upon arrival after a very long trip from Asia. We are used to tropical weather so the first night felt a bit chilly in the house but Charlie was here the next day to show us how to adjust the temperature. We also got great shopping and restaurants tips from Charlie and Michelle. The Beach House Cafe in Portobello was a highlight and a must-visit, as well as the restaurant strip in Leith called Shore -with the Ship on the Shore or Fishers, both really cool places to eat fish/seafood. This cottage is relatively close to Edinburgh university which makes it convenient for overseas families coming to set up their student children. Charlie and Michelle really care about you being comfortable during your stay at their property and will go above and beyond to accommodate and help you. That is a rare thing and made our trip so memorable. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality!! We would definitely go back there any time we come back to Edinburgh.

The weather...sadly when we were there, we had a few foggy/drizzly days but that is always a risk in Scotland ..

Lovely home away from home. Equipped in every manner including almost fully stocked kitchen (our pre check in supermarket trip was a waste as the kitchen had supplies of everything). Good recommendations of the surrounding areas all almost painstakingly hand written and kept for guests ready reference. Friendly fox visits to the garden for an added bonus and surprise. Loved watching it sit and bask in the sun. Loved our stay every bit. Highly recommended.

There's nothing not to like.

Spacious and comfortable home which was a great relief after a long travel and prior busy city stays! Big rooms and everything matches the photos. Beautiful big garden and excellent facilities. Located a very short walk from bus stop that takes you right into town. Hosts went over and above to make us feel welcome and provided great complementary snacks and essentials to help us settle in.

Loved everything! The bed in the master room could do to be upgraded to a bigger bed, there is plenty of space to accommodate one. But that would just be an extra to make the rating 11/10.

Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood. Good beds and well equipped kitchen. Spacious with a nice garden.
