Stunning cottage, fantastic mix of modern and original features. Real wow factor

The property was in a very poor condition. The mattress in the main bedroom needs to be removed it’s made me very unwell with the condition of it. Along with many other areas that need urgent attention. I have taken photos of all and will be contacting Booking.com with in depth details.

Lovely peaceful location.

Shower needs to be enclosed/currently the water gets everywhere and doesn't drain away. Oven unfortunately was extremely dirty as were the roasting tins inside the oven. No table in lounge area to put down a cup of tea/coffee.

We absolutely loved our stay at Shortlake Cottage. It's a beautiful, clean, spacious cottage - we felt at home and relaxed straight away. We loved the garden, the exposed roof beams, the loungeroom - everything! Thank you!

A couple of extra floor towels for the bathroom would be useful, as the bathroom floor gets quite wet when the shower is used.

The place was lovely overall. Quiet and secluded perfect location for walks along the coastal path. However there were a couple of things we thought would have made our stay even better: -WiFi wasn’t very good - shower situation was a bit difficult as the whole bathroom would flood on every shower - no sponge to clean the dishes - there were no locks on any of the bathroom doors (2 doors)

- Good character - Rural setting - Lovely views from upstairs - Good space for 2 couples staying

- No teabags, salt or pepper - A lock on the bathroom doors would be better - No curtain/blind on the upstairs window - in the summer this might affect families/people who struggle with light
