Shortlake Cottage

Nice and peaceful area. Property was easy to access upon arrival even though we arrived late in the evening. Cottage was beautiful and the kids loved the design and style of it.

Although we were fully aware that the advert clearly stated pets allowed, we were still quite disappointed to see the amount of pet hair all over the place. This meant that we couldn't completely relax as we were particularly worried about our toddler touching and playing on the floor. I understand people with who own pets might see this as normal but those of us who don't, find it quite gross and off putting. We have stayed at other places which also allow pets but have always been clean and hair free.

Lovely location and appearance

The internet was unreliable for the TV. The bathroom and downstairs bedroom got warm (and the hot) whilst the living room was still cold.

Quiet, easy to get to, very pretty and had everything needed for home from home break. Parking available too. Great location and easy access to local beauty spots by car or on foot.

Little things but towels were too small, needed bath sheets rather than bath towels. Could only get two terrestrial channels on the tv, when weather was bad they would freeze.

Plenty of space, great for walking, very peaceful, amazing skies on a clear night.

Taps were dripping, difficult to ventilate, got really warm had to keep the front door open.

We loved the location, it was very quite. Very dog friendly.

The bones of the house aregood, very shabby, broken furniture , dirty ovens and roasting tins. Bedroom back door badly sticking, making it difficult to open or lock. Only opening windows down stairs in bathroom also badly sticking..
