Cosy, clean, comfy & very well maintained - felt at home as soon as we arrived, everything you need for a relaxing break with great views too. Garden & patio area perfect and safe if you bring a dog, Gill & David have thoughtfully made this little barn a lovely getaway.

Location is perfect for exploring The Peaks. The cottage is cosy and welcoming and ideal for 2 adults wanting to relax for the weekend.

Location in a quiet rural village with good walks and excellent local pub. Short drive to Buxton and Bakewell.

Two things in our opinion let this property down. Overnight Security light kept on switching on/off throughout the night bathing interior with bright light from upstairs front skylight. In general the accommodation was adequate for a couple and pet although thought the bathroom area/shower we found a little cramped. Kitchen area in general okay but beneath the wall cupboards require cleaning of minor dust and spiders webs and the outside glass in the doors also require much better cleaning Only evident once sun glaring through.All other aspects we found fine and in general a comfortable stay and value for money.

Perfect weekend get away. Great location for walking and visiting local attractions.

This was ideal for us as we were visiting the village. Modern, clean, well appointed, snug. Hot water and efficient radiators, pleasant furnishings. Recommend this property.

Amazing location in Chelmorton with great access for walks. The property itself was really lovely with everything you could need. Easy access and on street parking. Overall an amazing stay and we would highly recommend to anyone.

Chelmorton is a lovely little village/hamlet a 15 min drive from Buxton. We had clear instructions of where to go to find the out building/barn that we were to stay in. It was set back and private from the main house with great automatic lighting and a secure walk way and patio for our dog. Good amount of on-road parking too. The inside was cozy and warm and snug with lovely furnishings. The bed was super comfy and lovely pillows and duvet. The information book was good and we had already booked at the local pub so settled into the area easily on our first day. I saw David and Jill during our stay and they seemed lovely along with their two staffies :) A fab way to spend twixmas within 30 mins of Chatsworth house!

The barn is all one room with a curtain divide so fine for a short stay but think a separating door might be useful especially to keep the dog out of the bedroom. The bathroom was heated by a towel rail and I could have done with a bit more heat in there whilst getting in and out of the shower but that's just me. The shower was a little temperamental and could have done with some instructions but we worked around it.
