Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet location. Great location for access to local walks and the pub at the top of the road was very welcoming with great food.

The mass amount of very large cobwebs all over the Barn that you could tell had been there a long time complete with spiders in the ceiling. We checked in at 3.15pm (check in was from 3pm) and we could tell the cleaning had only just been completed as we was greated with a strong smell of bleach and the bathroom was wet so these cobwebs had not been removed, we located the hover and hovered up as much as we could. Due to the strong smell of bleach we had to leave the front door open for a couple of hours and popped the extractor fan on in the bathroom and closed the door. A few stray hairs very visible in the bathroom on the toilet, shower floor and sink. Medium size tear in the tea towel. Very rough bathroom towels. Kettle had brown splash marks on it and needed wiping over. Blood spot on one of the kitchen cushion. First time we have stayed anywhere with no welcome items / pack. The property and location is fantastic it just needs a little extra care and tlc when cleaning and presenting the property.

This was our 4th stay at Swallow Barn . Everything was superb as usual as it is the perfect accommodation and location for us and Ernie when taking a walking break in the Peak District. That’s why we will continue to keep coming back. The owners are always friendly and helpful .Thank you .

Quiet, private space to relax and prepare meals after hiking and sight seeing.

Third time staying at Swallow Barn and it’s still as amazing as the first time. Will be booking again next year. New blinding bedroom is a great idea.
