Blue Belle Cottage

Beautiful property, really well appointed with great attention to detail on the theming. The location was great, really close to the town in a car or taxi. Great to have enough space for us and my partners daughter. She had her own room and we could relax in the lounge before we went to bed. I think the price was pretty reasonable for the amount of space we had and I would definitely stay there again.

If I had to nitpick it would have been nice to have off-street parking and we didn't feel comfortable parking on the reserve which was given as an option but I'm clutching at straws for anything negative to say really.

The cosiness and all the amenities like the spa, coffe machine and the outdoor area were amazing. The closeness of the beach and the ability to have our fur baby with us.

x2 workmen came over on our three day stay, o e each day to attend to the lawns, and install the extractor fan. There was an ant infestation in the kitchen on arrival, and we had to kill 3 large black cockroaches found in the living room, shower room, and toilet.

Beds were nice, clean and comfortable. Quiet at night.

Lounge uncomfortable, cushions slipping off lounge all the time. Mats moved under feet when stepping onto them, almost fell twice.

We provided our own breakfast. Location handy to beech and shops

The shower drain needs attention. It was very slow to drain. Toilet door needs adjustment as it would not stay closed. Pity the lawns were not mowed.

Location was the best part about this property. It was a short 5-minute walk to the beach and a peaceful 20 minute walk to town. The property was also situated next to an empty lot, which made it feel not too crowded in.

We had a miscommunication with the hosts regarding A/C. The listing we booked off of said the property did include A/C and when we asked the hosts about how to turn it on, they said there was no A/C, only heat. After some back and forth, the hosts realized that our listing did indeed show A/C and came to turn it on. The living room wasn't super comfortable and the grill was dirty when we went to use it.

The cottage is beautifully presented and clean and a short walk to the beach. The beds were comfortable and it was lovely to have a coffee machine and beans supplied.

The cottage is small and the kitchen basic. It lacks outdoor privacy at the moment. It is overlooked by the house next door and Blue Belle is the first of three houses on the same block who share a common driveway - so the neighbours are close by. There are plantings that will improve this, but suspect it will take a few years until they grow.
