Blue Belle Cottage

Very nice area close to beach and short walk to shops and bars.

Unfortunately had a few cockroaches

Great location, a lovely cottage 2 min walk from the beach. Very comfortable rooms, A/C, nicely equipped kitchen. Quiet neighbourhood.

It was pretty and very comfortable, and very thoughtfully furnished.

The rooms can get a bit stuffy, so it would probably be a good idea to get fans for summer!

Very comfortable and clean. Location great with beautiful views of the hills. So handy to have hand vacuum in case of crumbs etc as some accommodation do not have. Utensils, pots and pans good for a quick cook up if you miss the takeaway shops.

A microwave would have really come in handy as it took a while to heat up bottles for grandson.

It wasn't ready, full bin , beds not changed, wet towels and ants. We have photos as the owner seemed a little disparaging of our view. Spoke to owner who apologized and offered to refund first night while getting cleaner to come(9pm). She came back saying no cleaner and sent us to new location. I thought this was good service: refund and alternative accom.but she said we now would have to pay as she was giving us new place. New location nothing like we'd wanted( got in late obviously but woken 5.30 by folk going to work in loud Ute's directly outside the door) I had no phone signal(had hoped to use blue belles) so my cousin sent messages to owner but she eventually refused to deal with her. I stopped trying to sort things as it was eating into a very short holiday. I had spent ages planning this. I'd arrived from UK, via Australia and we'd tackled a long difficult journey thinking it would be worth it to have a lazy lie in, enjoying the coffee machine, outdoor area etc etc Instead we got in late (as planned), unpacked, then repacked and got to new place, unpacked, had a poor sleep, repacked, returned to bluebelle cottage unpacked and finally late morning got to begin our short stay pretty unrelaxed I appreciate the cleaner situation turned out to be beyond the owner's control but we did not get what we had planned. We did not get to experience what we had planned or paid for. Very disappointed. Things go wrong, I understand that. Bluebelle cottage is a lovely property, in a lovely location but our experience wasn't.

Nice small cosy with everything there required for a comfortable stay.

No parking beside the cottage, although not a huge distance to park away from the property.

The cottage was super clean and very well presented. Lovely outdoor area, great wifi and no fuss check in. And the fact that it is dog friendly was a big bonus for us

Just a few little things like no storage space in the second bedroom (even just a few hooks on the door would go a long way), no light where the dining table is

We stayed here right after Cyclone Gabrielle and the owner was very responsive in letting me know whether the roads were open and confirming the place was fine. The place was neat and tidy, excellent location, beds were comfortable and the decor was spot on. The kitchen is perfect if you want to cook some meals, with a nice large fridge. With plenty of seating and a great BBQ this house is perfectly designed house if you plan on spending some time outside.
