The Birdhouse with Hot Tub

The place was very clean and well kept. Had some basic food stuff waiting ie fresh bread, milk, and eggs, waiting for us. But above all, Henry and Elizabeth were absolutely brilliant. Could not do enough for us. Two of the nicest people you could hope to meet.

We loved everything about this place. It all started with the warmest welcome by Henry and Elizabeth who made our stay a pure heaven from the start to the end. Thank you so much for your hospitality, amazing scones, fresh bread, milk, eggs and chilled water in the fridge, place recommendations and kind attitude. The whole house is perfect, the beds were comfy, good a sized shower, a great kitchen with everything you need, amazing views, a fabulous hot tub, lots of space for everyone, beautifully designed rooms and very cosy bed linens. We loved the outside seating while we were having breakfast and looking at beautiful Donegal. We will certainly come back :)

From the moment of the booking confirmation Henry was a great communicator, specific directions were given and recommendations for eating out, we chose The Strand Bar and Teach Coll - the latter was our favourite. The Birdhouse was immaculately clean, airy, bright and has a well thought out design. Waiting for us was homemade scones and a loaf with milk, butter and eggs also supplied. We used the Birdhouse as a base to climb the Hills Of Donegal and the hot tub was a great way to relax the weary legs on an evening. A full sized fridge and a separate full sized freezer along with a washing machine, microwave and hob and oven make up the kitchen, and the view from the breakfast table....unreal. Many thanks to Henry and Elizabeth for our great stay, they should be proud of what they offer - it's a great apartment.

This accommodation was perfect for us - light and airy, immaculately clean and with the best views of anywhere we stayed in Ireland. The hot tub is well maintained. We received delicious home-made bread and scones in our arrival. The owners were fun, helpful and seemed genuinely interested in our road trip and plans. We will definitely be back for more!

Absolutely nothing, it was heaven.

Fabulous location, friendly host and great house

The property was lovey and clean. The hosts were so friendly and couldn’t of been more helpful during our stay. lovely little house with amazing views around about. highlight being the hot tub!

I could not rate this beautiful little home any higher! We had the best 2 nights staying here. Henry and Elizabeth could not have done more for us and are such kind, lovely people. It was absolutely spotless and the place is finished to the highest standard! Fresh bread and scones were beautiful and the hot tub was so nice! The view is incredible and situated in one of my favourite places in the world 🌎❤️ We can’t wait to come back!

That we didn’t stay for longer!!!

Everything! This was a lovely clean, comfortable, stylish apartment with great facilities for cooking and of course the hot tub was amazing. Henry and Elizabeth are very helpful and make you feel at home, but don't bother you at all! It is a great location for Mount Errigal and the coastal drives around the area. I would highly recommend staying here if you are lucky enough to get it!

We couldn't fault anything to be honest!

Henry and Elizabeth were amazing hosts, so welcoming and friendly. We were greeted with beautiful homemade fresh scones and a loaf of bread. The property was stunning and so clean, the facilities available were everything you could want. Toilet and bedrooms were spotless and the hot tub was fantastic and so easy to use. The views from the living area and kitchen over the bay were breathtaking. The area is lovely with beautiful beaches and walks within a short drive. Couldn’t recommend this stay more to anyone who is thinking of making the trip. Will definitely be looking to stay here again!
