Large House, sleeps 10 with incredible sea views

The house was spacious with fabulous views out to sea. It was ideal for 6 of us plus a 1 year old, lots of room to move around, lots of seating and a well equipped kitchen. Great location very close to town and sea front.

We had some trouble with the boiler but Fiona arranged for a plumber to visit twice over the weekend.

Lovely location in a big home from home. Easy to find and get in, clear instructions set in the welcome pack and facilities were great. The views are beautiful and our kids loved looking out to sea from the balcony.

The beds in the twin rooms were a bit creaky so people staying in there were a little worried they would wake the other.

The location was great, with a fantastic view down to the historic harbour front down below and easy access to the town centre. The property was comfortable and contact with the hosts easy.

Some of the facilities were a little bit tired - we'd hoped to use the garden advertised, but that part of the property was quite overgrown and unkept, so we made do with the balcony instead. Similarly, some of the bedrooms could do with a lick of paint and a bit of a refresh, not to mention some of the beds were past their best and could do with replacing. None of this stopped us from enjoying our stay though and we'd definitely recommend it. It was difficult to source parking near to the property for the duration of our stay but this was advertised in advance by the owner so met our expectations.

House was tired felt tired, could really do with deep clean. We had a issue with the smell, when we walked in on the first day there was a really strong smell of gone off milk/bins, seemed someone previous might have spilt milk on the kitchen floor that hadn't been cleaned up properly. We had to give the kitchen a clean before we could take our food in. We did mention it to the host and they did send a cleaner out, however it was no better when we got back later that day. We also sat on one of the beds in the attic and the slats dropped which meant I had to put them back in together (Having looked at another reviews, someone else seemed to mention this). It's a shame as the this could be a fantastic house.
