Triple Deck Cottage 2 mins from Mevgaissey Harbour

Great location Lovely and warm Free parking

No dishwasher 😢

Only a few minutes walk into Mevagissey, good amount of space (at least for 4 of us), very clean, good heating

Some beds not very comfortable and noisy, internet wifi very intermittent, oven hob tripped when using more than 2 plates at a time

Location is good

Matteresses on the beds are shot, it's like sleeping on sand, lumps, sloping, very uncomfortable. We all had bad back from the beds. We stayed Christmas 2023 as well as 2024. We did mention the beds being uncomfortable in 2023. The host said they would look at getting the matteresses changed. Of course they have not bothered. They shower has no pressure, you would have a better shower under a garden hose. The Kitchen socket for kettle is dangerously loose. The heater in the top bedroom sparks sometimes when adjusting the temperature, to be fair you only see this when it is dark and the lights are off. The host responded to messages quickly, until they money had been taken from our credit card, then they were difficult to get hold of. Dissapointing stay, we will not be staying there again.

Nice and close to the centre of the village.

The weather was warm and sunny during our stay, and it would have been nice to have an outdoor seating area to take advantage of that, but it wasn’t a big issue.

Location

Fridge is broken. TV in bedroom did not work (power lead missing). Kitchen sink tap is broken. Duvets thin and inadequate. Kitchen smells of urine/sewerage. If we have to vacate by 9.30 to allow the 'cleaners' an early start - why could we not arrive earlier?

A lovely cottage in the middle of mevagissey, we especially enjoyed the log fire.

Fantastic location and the property is a great size, it has been thoughtfully laid-out and is comfy and cosy. Plenty of space, tastefully designed and gives you everything you need for a stay away. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Only minor things were the kitchen sink tap is loose and needs fixing, there were quite a few cobwebs, and check-out time is earlier than the other places we have stayed in Meva over the years - 9.30 or 10am would be better, especially as you can’t check in until later in the afternoon - gives you chance to go out for breakfast on your last day! But we still thought the place was cracking.

The location of the property is great. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The tv was a bit tricky to work out - (some instructions would have helped) but the kids were happy to be able to access YouTube.

The road is nosier that I expected and cars speed up and down there throughout the night. The bathroom door needs new hinges and is difficult to close. There is a damp smell throughout the downstairs of the house as the drainpipe at the back isn’t connected properly (this looks like it’s been an issue for a while). My Mum uses a mobility aid to walk. Due to other people parking so close to the front door of the house, it made things difficult for her.
