This was an excellent base for our visit to the area. We caught the bus from outside the door to take us to the start of the Pyg track to climb Mount Snowdon. We caught 2 buses from the end of the Lamberis track to come home - very simple and cost effective as it was £14.20 for a family of 2 adults and 2 children to travel all day by bus. The village is really nice and we did a great warm up hike down the river and up the wooded hill behind Gelert's Grave. We ate twice at the pizzeria because it was excellent and the pizzas were completely handmade (although the waffle pudding was out of a packet and terrible). We also ate at the Saracens Head (excellent and had kid's menu) and the Tanronnen Inn, which was also delicious. There are a couple of gift shops and the village shop, which has essentials, but was pricey. The cottage is lovely and we really enjoyed staying here. The thermostat is responsive to warm the place through and make upstairs cosy. We enjoyed the board games in the cupboard too!

Pillows were a bit uncomfortable - I should bring my own :) And the towels were washed in heavily scented detergent, which is not great for sensitive skin, but I understand they do it so they smell fresh and clean.

Location was excellent, it's a beautiful area with the River Colwyn over the road. The owners were welcoming with a nice welcome pack of goodies, cooking facilities were good, comfortable lounge and dining areas.

We loved the location in the village, many hiking trails around, great service from the owners, free parking around, the cottage corresponded to our needs.

I would suggest providing a few dish cloths for longer stays and a drying rack since there is a washing machine.

Clean place with everything I needed. It is in a perfect location with many interesting places around. The owners were very friendly.

Property is centrally located in the beautiful village of Beddgelert with lovely walks from the property. The property was characterful and warm with a lovely wood burner. The hosts provided a welcome pack which was appreciated and were prompt when responding to queries.

The property had a lot of potential but the decor is tired and the property good do with a deep clean. The water in the bathroom never got particularly hot so it wasn’t possible to have a hot bath, the water was hotter in the en-suite but both showers do not have much pressure.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Really enjoyed the wood burner, cosy living room, spacious kitchen and comfortable beds. Wasn’t aware the 2nd bedroom has en-suite so that was nice surprise. We had a lovely, relaxed Christmas there.

I think it would benefit from a full sized fridge freezer. Due to it being a cottage that can potentially sleep up to 5 people the freezer compartment in the fridge was tiny and we ended up throwing a lot of food away.

Damp and mould, couldn’t sit or sleep downstairs without opening all the doors and windows

It was a comfortable stay in a great location.
