Church Farm Cottage

The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. The only issue we had was that the main bedroom access is through the single bedroom. We were not aware of this when we booked as it was not stated in the description. Unfortunately this was totally inappropriate for our party of adults and spoilt the stay a little for us. If not for this issue, then the cottage would have been perfect for us. The village is lovely and centrally located for a large number of activities. Communication from the hosts was excellent and very friendly.

Great communication. The cottage was perfect for our stay - great to have 2 bathrooms. Northleach is beautiful and we found everything we needed in the local shops.

Good location, in a lovely village with great pubs and scenery.

The house felt and looked unfinished, and is in need of some care and a lick of paint everywhere. The downstairs toilet needs improvement, with a door that is a struggle to close, and can’t be secured. The front door doesn’t fully close, with a gap around it. En-suite needs a door to make it usable. It’s in a lovely location, but let down by a lack of finesse.

As holiday cottage owners ourselves we inevitably compare with our own. Although our stay way comfortable we couldn’t help but thinking how the cottage could be so much more as furnishings were a little tired and with a bit more thought and a little money spent you could charge so much more. Please consider moving furniture round in living room. TV where bookcase that’s not needed move couch that has back to window to where cupboard is, cushion the window seat. It would open the room up! Obviously not telling you how things should be done it’s just a suggestion. Damp needs looking at in bedroom at top of stairs and a bit of an upgrade in bathroom that’s in bedroom, tiles maybe round the bath rather than decking planks! Front door is sticking badly. Beautiful bones of a Cotswolds cottage, how fortunate you are to own it and thank you for letting us stay.

Brilliant location. Lovely and quiet, which is just what we were after. Great pubs nearby, and tremendous walks in the countryside. The church bells every 3 hours ring out the 'Handover' tune (Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness) and it wonderful to hear them,
