luxury new 3 bed caravan with stunning sea view on private beach in Thorness bay

The location and views were great

The caravan was dirty. A light didn't work in one of the rooms. My son found a tooth on his bedroom floor. There was empty sweet packets under the pull out bed. The WiFi didn't work. The TV cables were being held together by a plaster. Mat on outside deck was a trip hazard and filthy underneath. The cooker was filthy. Broken drawer in bedroom. We took the issues to the owner and got nothing but rude responses Definitely do not recommend booking this property. We only stayed for 1 night and paid £203. A very disappointing end to what had been an amazing holiday on the island

Upon entry, we were met with an odour of damp, and dust. There was no wi-fi, or TV connection available. The whole accommodation needs a deep clean, The 2 small bedrooms had limited space for moving. There was no on suite, as promised. This is not a luxury accommodation by a long shot, extremely disappointing. The floors were filthy, as were the sofas. Cobwebs found by lights, chewing gum on the ceiling cove, cooker, fridge/freezer, and microwave all dirty, with veg still left in the freezer drawer. Shower cubicle shows mould around frame, and the front of drawer came apart in double room, it fell off, kettle needs replacing, as showing signs of no descaling, the smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector had no battery life, no sign of any PAT testing in the building, we were advised, not required if property not insured, however recommended, all caravans are insured, and PAT annually. TV aerial had tape both ends, we considered this dangerous. Curtains were not hanging correctly, The stairs to the entrance, not suitable for disabled as the hand rail detached from the wall. Loose wiring outside of property. There was no welcome pack or instruction manual for using TV, or accessing the internet. Quite frankly the accommodation ruined our holiday, to the point we were ready to leave, by turning around immediately, ferry not available, and as we tried to get help from the office, we were informed, it's privately owned, they were unable to help. We contacted Booking.com, explained, but we're offered, a £38 refund, for next booking we make, this is unacceptable, and we are seeking compensation of at least 50% for our inconvenience, because we were led to believe in your advert we would receive a 'luxury new 3 bed caravan', with on suite, and with a private beech, (which was shared!), The caravan was furnished with extremely tired, stained contents, which looks second hand from charity shop.

Location was beautiful

Very unclean sofas beds and even toaster had dog fur on it. Owner was not supportive and completely ignored our complaint.

Nothing at all about the property. This property is falsely advertised as a New luxury caravan!

This is definitely not a New Luxury Caravan! dirty, smelling of dogs, food in freezer, rubbish on side, faeces in toilet etc
