Ample space for a large group of 12! Did not feel crammed in due to the great layout. Excellent bathroom to guest ratio so no issue getting everyone showered in the mornings.

Absolutely nothing!

Stunning views. Very well equipped house. Plenty of space. Heat pumps in all rooms. Host very good about swapping dates which we appreciated.

Overwhelming smell of damp in downstairs room. Horrible & not nice for those sleeping in there. Wasn’t as clean as I would’ve liked. Fair bit of dust, cobwebs & sticky kitchen floor. Towels smelt & felt like they were dried on clothes airer inside, crunchy & not fresh. Cushions & couches need a good clean. No facecloths but plenty of hand towels. A few things I would’ve liked to have known… downstairs quad room has ensuite. Master has ensuite access to main bathroom which also has access from hall. Seperate toilet on 3rd floor & just a shower with handbasin in top floor bedroom. Very small & room for toothbrushes only, could do with some shelves. Quad room has short singles, not really adequate for tall teens or adults.

We liked the view and the location. The kitchen and dining area was good too.

Cleanliness was appalling. There were hundreds of bugs around the house, most are dead but some were still alive, crawling on the floor. We found them in the rooms, and even in the lounge. Our niece got bed bugs bite, and had an infection (as per her GP) from it when we came home from our trip to Queenstown. We addressed the issue to the owner, was told it was “common” in the area. And that it was “impossible” that there were bed bugs there. We have taken photos and video showing bugs, and they were unbelievably a lot. We wouldn’t call it “common” to have that many inside a house.
