Doocot At Bonnyside House - New Hot Tub Aug 2025

Location is rural and proximity to the roman wall and fort made for the most fantastic walks with the dogs - The digs were spacious and well set out so a home from home for me as working away - hot tub was a bit tatty but it worked well and was fantastic to sit in it outside and watch the deer and wildlife literally a few meters away. Will return as lots of space and comfort for family and pets. Hosts were really responsive and welcoming.

The home was furnished with everything need, and the hot tub was maintained daily. The hosts provided firewood upon request, as well as a beautiful Scottish breakfast basket for our last day. There was someone at the property everyday if we needed anything. The location was great for sightseeing as it’s right in between Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The bed was not very comfortable, and the wifi was really bad. We used our own data plan for the entire stay which was a little disappointing. However it was still well worth staying there.

Loved everything about the property. Washing machine was so handy because of hot tub and the beds were very comfy

The hot water no matter how hard we tried we could not get it to work and a strainer in kitchen would have been useful

Beautiful living area, and nice surrounding view, hot tub. I love the conservatory it is so relax. Kitchen has everything you need. Children so excited to see many squirrels and birds.

I have back pain so for me, the mattress could be bit of too soft.

Beds were so comfy ... hot tub is great ... everything you need for a great stay only other thing needed would be instructions re hot tub and hot water

Hot tub was great, but didn't know how to turn it up, as was stuck at 33° also we had no idea how to get hot water in kitchen we did ask in morning, but from what we were told the hot water should have already been on, so we couldn't wash dishes which meant we were running a bit late for checkout and had to leave them in dishwasher. We left cottage at 11.08am and were informed checkout was 10am, so we were really late checking out when in fact on booking.com it says between 9am and 11am.
