Beautiful Location One Bedroom Residential Home

Avoid this at all costs. When we first got there it seemed really nice. We went to go to bed and realised there was a massive problem with the bed, impossible to sleep on. Me, my partner and baby had to sleep downstairs on the couch. I messaged Sadie about this who seemed to have no idea about this but would order a new bed straight away. She asked us to check under the mattress which we did and the base it all broken, and the mattress springs are severely separated. When I checked the reviews there’s reviews stating this all the way back to October 2024! So they are obviously aware of these issues - one of the reviews stating the Sadie refuses to fix problems that guests tell her about. The second night we decided to leave as it wasn’t safe for my little one to sleep in that bed, the couch or his pram. Once I told Sadie this she stated she asked the cleaner a number of times to check this and took her word for it and that she’d contact the owner and get back to me. I got back to her the next day and her tone had completely changed, very rude and blunt. Nothing was taken i feel seriously, or a matter of urgency. Still hadn’t heard an outcome on Tuesday so I sent a message saying if I don’t hear from her by 12 that I was going to just go through the bank. This was apparently a threat and also made a comment about this only being £60 a night. Insinuating this is okay to have a bed that’s impossible to sleep on because of the price and telling me that the bank won’t do anything and I can’t made a dispute because it’s booking.com. Sadie thought it was then appropriate to send me messages with other “guests” which was her asking them how they slept and they said they slept well. This is bizarre to me considering she’s texting them in a very different way/tone than she’s spoke to me from the very first message I sent, and it’s to again insinuate that im lying over the situation!

Parking aan de accomodatie. Groot bed, ruime zetel. Schattig huisje. Goede verwarming, goede douche.

Alle pannen zaten vol diepe krassen. Koken was dus niet echt mogelijk, gelukkig was er ook een oven met ovenschaal. Keuken had maar 1 stoel.

Good location. Good size for me & my young grandson for a short visit.

A second bar stool would have made eating in the kitchen easier.

Nice place. Easy for bus to Newcastle. Not far from local shops and supermarket.

No lights working in living room. Short on curtains or blinds for night time. Kitchen cuboards and freezer had old food still in. Short on items. Pans, plates and glasses etc... all needed a good wash before able to use. Oven was full of grease and needs a good clean. Bathroom window unable to close, door sticks so hard to close and open. Main issue was that shower cold tap did not work so after a few minutes the water was so hot it would scald you. No toilet roll holder or anything to hang a towel on, towels were clearly old as had threads pulled in them. Bedroom floorboards made a noise wherever you walked in the room, bed was queen size but clearly on the old side as matress uneven and bedstead looked bowed. Lot of tlc and minor repairs needed.

Very clean and a very decent place in a good location.

No blinds in a few windows especially upstairs on the landing which wasn’t great when getting to the bathroom. No mirror in bathroom. Would have been nice to have had a carton of milk for a cup of tea when we arrived after a long journey rather than the bread and other bits of food.
