No air-conditioning upstairs and the place was not cleaned very well - there was bird poop on the table, kitchen bench, lounge, floor and wall

Probably the best location in all of Tekapo in my opinion.

The pillows were very uncomfortable.

It's an older house, the kitchen had the basics and the bedrooms can get a bit cold, but the sunsets and stargazing from the balcony are hard to beat. The sun warms the common area upstairs during the day through those big glass windows while the fireplace gives more than adequate heat at night. Really hoping that the owners could spruce it up just a little bit more, we're already thinking when we could go revisit Tekapo
