"Comfortable and very pleasant. Excellent location and facilities."

8.0

It was a beautiful cottage with excellent facilities. Lovely location and easy to find. Lovely to have oil for cooking, washing up facilities and foil for cooking.

Low ceiling in Master bedroom and uneven stairs. A little treacherous. Gate was stiff to open to get the car in. Don't know if there were cushions for the garden chairs. Would have been more comfortable.

"Fantastic stay, wonderful hosts. Look forward to returning!"

10.0

The property was full of character, spotlessly clean, fantastic location and everything we were looking for.

We borrowed the travel cot which was there was which really handy, however the flat mattress you put at the bottom was exceptionally hard and didn’t have any cushioning on it at all. In the end, we ended up using the cushion from the box in the living room on top (under the tv) as it was the perfect length, put a cot sheet over that so that the baby could get to sleep comfortably. Unless you had a baby and were going to put them down to sleep in it however, nobody would know. Not a negative at all, but just thought it was worth a mention in case just that part of the travel cot could be replaced as there wasn’t anything wrong with the rest of it. Really handy to have one at the property like you do!

"Amazing stay at Thatch Cottage"

10.0

The cottage was lovely and in a fabulous spot to go adventuring the surrounding areas, be it the nearby coast or the New Forest. Sam was friendly and accommodating and the cottage was very clean and comfortable. The lovely garden was an added bonus and it is such a relaxing and quiet spot which was exactly what we wanted. Superb value for money and I recommend considering if you are looking to stay in the area.

"Lovely but not long enough!!"

8.0

Unfortunately, as we had to leave early due to a family issue, we didn’t get a chance to experience it - hence only scoring it 8/10. However the bits we did get to enjoy were 10/10 - comfortable bed, comfy and cozy lounge, kitchen with all mod cons that you need. Oh, and the advice about licking the bowl … life is indeed too short!!

The only thing we were slightly unsure of was trying to cook underneath the smoke alarm without setting it off. Couldn’t see anything about how to reset them (or whether they were linked remotely and hence call out the fire brigade). Totally understand the need for them but maybe something in the welcome book would help.
