"Great place to stay, we’ll definitely be staying again."

10.0

The property was very clean/ tidy and spacious. It has everything we needed for an overnight stay. It’s also located on private property so felt very secure and quiet.

It was a little hard to find along the main road as the sign is small but the owner gave clear instructions.

"Lovely stay."

10.0

All good, can't say a bad thing. Lovely host, very chatty and always happy. I wish I had energy like that 😊 Lovely accommodation, good spot for smokers, I would recommend it to everyone. Btw , a beautiful lake behind the estate, can fish if you like to.

I haven't seen anything when I was booking about charging for the parking, which is free for " family" cars size but not for vans ( we drove a VW transporter) fortunately we didn't have to pay but you might be if your car is oversized. It's a minor issue but be prepared.

"Welcoming, quiet and spacious"

8.0

Friendly host and a quiet place to stay. A welcoming feel to the lodge and spacious living room/kitchen with a large outside seating area.

Some of the doors were hard to open/close and here and there it needed a bit of updating.

"Not what we expected - poor quality. We would request a refund as the pictures do not accurately depict this property. M"

1.0

From the pictures, the property looked good and suited our needs as a family. The keys had been left in the door for our arrival.

The property was not what we expected when we arrived. It looked overgrown and unkempt - the outside area was dirty - over turned chairs and two old fire extinguishers just left in what should have been a patio. The view from out of the rear windows was of a barbed wire fence and overlooking an industrial estate (very untidy). The inside of the property had a very musty smell to it. The furnishings, bedding, towels etc looked very worn and not high quality. The table cover was sticky and did not seem clean. Quality of the fittings - kitchen, bathroom etc - were not what we expected. By this point, we felt that we could not have stayed in the property and left within 30 minutes. We informed the owner by message immediately. The location needs more explanation as it is at the back of several industrial type units.
