The Coolins cottage with wood burner

Great location for exploring the area. Very quiet. All bedrooms have ensuites which is a bonus. Very clean. .

Could do with lamps in lounge. Lighting a bit stark so we ended up taking lamp from bedroom to put on at night in lounge.

The fact that we only booked for 2 nights

In our opinion this property is not set up for the number of people it can accommodate and it has been equipped with just the basics which are not of the best quality, even for a rental.

Check-in instructions were clear - photos are also given to us to show where the keys are located at. There were ensures bathrooms in each room which made showering so much more convenient.

No shampoo and soap provided. Pan is badly scratched up so we can't use it to cook - used the pots instead.

There was not shower gel in the bathrooms

In main bedroom the radiators were really noisy I think they may need bled . It kept me awake alot if the night but wasn’t a major isssue . Tv didn’t seem to work in living room again wasn’t a major issue as we didn’t stay in property for long .

Very clean. All rooms ensuite. Great that there was a pub serving food one minute walk from the property.

The bed in the smaller double room was uncomfortable. Just one small frying pan to make spaghetti bolognaise for 6 people which was a challenge & everything stuck fast to the base (same with the small saucepan used for scrambled eggs in the morning). A stiff cleaning brush would have helped reduce the time spent scrubbing them everyday but we couldn’t find one in the local shops!

A beautiful property in a lovely area. The wood fire was a blessing & I loved that each room had its own en-suite. Was a bit disappointed that my stay was very brief for 1 night only. Would definitely liked to have stayed here longer.

Nothing negative about the property at all - it actually rated in the top 3 of my accommodations during my trip - however we just had some issues trying to get hold of the hosts when we couldn't get into the lock box. I had a big day driving all day, it was getting late & when the hosts wouldn't pick up my call I started to panic a bit. However we finally got in touch & all was good. (The code had since changed & I was notifyed by email - but being on holiday I couldn't access my emails, so didn't know. Maybe another way of contacting - or use several methods of contacting to prevent the panic of OH NO we are locked out & NOONE is around...eeeek!)

We were so lucky this was available between christmas & new year. It was very homey, clean and the kitchen has everything we need, since the weather sometimes could get very bad.
