The Old Laundry at Allt A'Mhuilinn

It's the perfect place to stay and explore the Highlands. The owner welcomed us with homemade scones and strawberry jam. If you need anything, she lives in a separate building next door. The apartment is both spacious and comfortable for four people! It is a bit isolated, but it is still within walking distance of the village and stores. The garden is home to many birds, and there is a river flowing in the back yard. Fabolous place. The apartment is well-equipped. Parking is easy and access to the flat is easy. The kitchen and living room are situated downstairs, while the bedrooms and bathrooms are located upstairs. I am only able to recommend it to others.

Rachel's place was a big discovery and surprise for us. We were on a two weeks trip around the Highlands and Rachel's place was our last scheduled stay. The place itself is great, on the river bank, surrounded by nature and a few steps away from the city. This gives you all the pluses, on one hand the tranquility and serenity of nature, on the other hand, being able to have dinner, buy the essentials, a few steps away. On our arrival, Rachel was there to receive us, given that we arrived a little late in the evening she was very forth coming and she booked us a table at a restaurant close by. Starting from the host, to the place and the house itself, everything was excellent and, actually, exceeded our expectations. The house is very comfortable and big enough for our family, we were 3 adults and a child. The river and nature surrounding the house were excellent for our kid, that could go "exploring" when we were at home. The position of the house is really great, as it allows you to be near the attractions near by, but, at the same time, avoid the crowd. All in all, an excellent discovery and a place that we will surely consider whenever we'll be back in the Highlands.

Great hosting and lovely place

Very comfortable, clean, well located cottage with character but also good WiFi /TV ( kids were happy ).Rachel is very warm and welcoming, greeting you with famous scones, bread and milk. She thinks of all your needs and makes the stay feel luxurious. We did lots of walks in the area, including Ben Nevis climb and parkrun at fort William, both so close to drive to.

It is a fabulous house, spacious, very clean and very well furnished. The house is located at an extraordinary location just a few metres from the river and it is very quiet. Rachel is an amazing host such a great warm welcome after a long drive with her home made cookies, we couldn't ask for more!

Roomy and comfortable. Great location and hostess even baked up some delicious scones. Lots of birds and the nearby river
