Quinta do Charco

Super team die ons de uitleg gaf ivm het huis, de hosts waren heel vriendelijk. Kregen voortdurend tips over activiteiten en lokale specialiteiten stonden on op te wachten in het huis zelf (fles wijn, koekjes, brood, kaas,....) Echt een fantastische plek!

We can’t say enough good things about Quinto do Charco and the hosts, Marco & Iolanda. From the moment we booked the reservation and in the months leading up to our stay, they responded to every question seemingly as soon as I asked it. Our family arrived in Sao Miguel in two groups and the first group arrived very early in the morning. Marco told our first group to come right away to the house so they could get settled and relax. Breakfast was waiting for them and all sorts of treats were left for us during our stay. During our stay, Marco & Iolanda checked in nearly every day and offered so many suggestions on activities, sights, dining. When we couldn’t get a reservation at a place they recommended, they got it for us. They even gave us suggestions for the overnight we took to a different island—Terceira. While we overnighted in Terceira, they sent a housekeeping crew to “freshen up the place” and then left a treat of Azorean ice cream. On the last day of our stay, Marco called to ask if it was ok to stop by and give us a souvenir—a beautiful Azorean cookbook. Marco & Iolanda were truly the most gracious, helpful, amazing Airbnb hosts we have ever experienced. And the house is absolutely gorgeous. Impeccably clean and modern with extraordinary views of the beautiful scenic landscape. There is a wonderful garden and one night we decided to just take advantage of the beautiful house and cook dinner. The house provided both wonderful gathering space for our 6-person family, but also beautiful bedrooms for “alone” time. We could have spent the whole week in the house and hanging out by the pool, but then we would have missed the spectacular island of São Miguel. The location of the house was perfect for visiting the island from north to south and west to east—which we did.

Todo. La casa es preciosa y está impoluta. Tienen un huerto al lado enorme y precioso del que nos permitieron coger frutos. A mitad de la estancia vinieron a limpiar la casa y reponer toallas y ropa de cama. Nuestro vuelo de llegada se retrasó y los dueños, que son encantadores, tuvieron la amabilidad de hacernos una compra para que pudiésemos cenar esa noche y desayunar al día siguiente. No les pongo más de un 10 porque no hay nota más alta, pero se merece mucho más. Todo lo que diga se queda corto. Gracias por ser unos anfitriones magníficos!

Where to start... The house is just wonderful, absolutely beautiful, and the hosts are fantastic. We spent a most relaxing week there! Great location to explore the island from as well.

The communication between ourselves and the host was invaluable, and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and we really felt Marco was there to help us at all times. This began from the very start of us booking this months before. The property was exactly as listed and there were so many small touches that made this stay so memorable. We were met on arrival and shown around, there was wine, milk and cheese in the fridge. There were small cakes.biscuits bread and half way through our stay another treat of ice cream, How thoughtful and considerate. Great customer service all round, and what a difference this can and did make. Thank you Marco and Iolanda. The property, for us, was in a perfect place to explore the island too.

Marco and Iolanda did a fantastic job! Upon our arrival, we were met by Marco, who provided us with local products. He also filled out the requests we asked for. Amazing property, even more amazing host!.
