"Easter holiday break"

8.0

Very comfortable accommodation.lots of little extras you don't normally get, eg, coffee, sugar, tea, various sauces, and cooking oil. Washing up liquid, etc. Plenty of glasses, cutlery, and crockery

There wasn't really anything we disliked about our stay. It was very relaxing. Can I just add that the patio doors at the front of the property would only lock from the outside with the key. But this wasn't a problem for our stay.

"Our stay was lovely and would return just a few things need addressing"

7.0

Enclosed courtyard to hot tub the park was lovely bathroom and ensuite lovely The Lodge was lovely

Shame about the cracked mirror in bathroom. The dining chairs were all except one unstable to sit on so unable.to sit around the table definitely need attention as not safe. There was only 3 dinner plates !! And yet we booked for 4 people Medications from someone left on the tv shelf which my child did bring to me asking me what they were !! Personally the long sofa extremely uncomfortable to sit on. I.mention these only as I feel you need to know incase your not aware. I do think moving the beds when cleaning would benefit as found all sorts when putting the singles together.

"Lovely stay with the grandkids- beautiful are to explore: Lovely lodge in a quiet location. No local shop so be prepared"

8.0

Property was lovely and spacious. We loved the pine lodge and the added bonus of the jacuzzi was a fab way to relax after exploring the area.

There were two main things we didn’t like when we stayed at Eagle Lodge. The door into the main bedroom was awkward for getting round - I have a nasty bruise on my chest as a result of the latch sticking out and catching me several times during the stay. The cutlery is old and looks dirty because of its age. This would be a cheap and simple fix. If you holiday there remember to take washing up liquid and milk. The nearest shop is 10 miles away and there is no welcome pack.

"Avoid!"

4.0

Great location, lots of lovely places nearby to explore. We loved Amble, Almouth and Alnwick. Hot tub was a nice addition which was one of the main reasons we booked it. Clean bedding and towels.

First impressions not good. Looked shabby and run down, covered in cobwebs. Outdoor area very tired looking - dirty table out the front, dirty dog bowl and fag bucket out the back. BBQ looked pretty grim too. Inside, it was relatively clean but on closer inspection could do with a good deep clean. Crumbs in cracks of dining table, dust in the corners, dirty scatter cushions on sofa etc, first wine glass that I pulled out covered in greasy hand marks, windows both inside and out were absolutely filthy. Kitchen facilities are atrocious. Only 3 dinner plates, one of which chipped. Old, mismatched cutlery. 1 old wooden chopping board, only two kitchen knives - a bread knife and small serrated one with what looked to have paint stuck to it. It’s a good job we weren’t planning on doing much cooking as we would have been pretty scuppered if we had. No washing up liquid, but they had left us a couple of dirty sponges. No plug for the sink. One of the chairs all but collapsed when my partner sat on it (reported). No toilet brushes or bins in either bathrooms. Cracked mirror in bathroom. WiFi not good, no mirrors in bedrooms to dry hair etc. We weren’t looking for luxury, but basic standards were not met and it really felt like total and utter laziness/ incompetence from the owner. We paid good money to stay there and were left reeling. All was reported to the lovely lady at Percywood reception as was no contact details left for the owner. This place has potential and could be lovely with some care and thought put into it. I can see from previous reviews that a lot of these issues have been brought up and yet nothing has been done. Please save your money and stay elsewhere. I desperately wish we had.

Very clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved the hot tub. Beds were really comfortable. The bath was lush and unusual to find in a holiday lodge.

We didn't realise until half way through our stay that their was a net for the hot tub. Think their could have been a bigger range of plates and cutlery due to the fact that the lodge does cater for upto 6 people.

"Would not recommend 😕"

3.0

Would not recommend this lodge. Received conflicting information of getting into the lodge tried to contact owner still waiting for a reply. It is the first property where we have not been left any welcome pack even just a packet of biscuits. It certainly wasn't the cleanest with build up of hair and dust in the corners. No one came to clean the hot tub once The booking was for 5 persons and we only had 3 large dinner plates and exactly 5 forks. The light fittings in one bedroom and the living room, had bulbs which weren't even working. Therefore very dim lighting. Will not be returning
