"Slightly off the beaten track but well-worth the diversion."

Ideal overnight with a very conscientious host - Martin. A warm welcome and an excellent dinner . Note that the dinner had to be booked in advance and is prepared by Martin with some considerable style in an open kitchen. Comfortable room and good WiFi throughout.

"Handy for Via de la Plata"

Comfortable room, private terrace, helpful host. Martin was away but Claudia looked after us beautifully, directing us to the supermarket, providing us with a bottle of wine to accompany dinner and getting us breakfast at 6 am so we could get an early start on our 40 km day on the Via de la Plata.

"Chef Martin makes this property well worth a short leg on the Via de la Plata."

Martin is an amazing host and his cooking is superb.

Nothing except the property is only 11 km from Salamanca. Even so, well worth stopping here to be looked after by Martin in his lovely property.

"A quietly joyous and hospitable place to stay."

The hotel is in a small village with a beautiful church at its centre just a few miles outside Salamanca. There are only a few rooms and the place is run by Martin and his partner who also man the kitchen to make your dinner. Martin is a lovely man who now’s how to welcome and look after people as well as cook for them. We had a wonderful meal of a light soup and roasted beef rib and pork with excellent olive oil and wine from the village. Our dogs were welcome and Martin was delighted to see them.

"Unique and enjoyable experience"

A unique experience, almost like having a private concierge. Our host, Martin, was the epitome of hospitality and was attentive to all our needs. He gave us a choice of menus beforehand, we chose mussels to start followed by slow-cooked veal and he cooked it superbly. It was an excellent meal, I think cooking is one of his passions. We certainly recommend staying here and selecting the dinner option. Thanks Martin!
