Boreland Loch Tay

Spacious lounge and dining area with a lovely view. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We asked for two more towels and the staff member brought a whole pile of fresh ones just a few minutes later!

Shower head and dishwasher were a little broken, though still functional.

We came here for our mini moon and have some peace and quiet with our dogs away from the fireworks

Didn’t really like the outdoor kitchen or the lights on sensors in the bathroom that went off when you were having a shower !

Beautiful views over Loch Tay. This was the only good thing about our stay.

The accommodation was incredibly dirty. The floors had clearly not been cleaned and there was a rug covered in dog hair. It was incredibly cold. Bins had not been emptied and their was half washed dishes in the dishwasher. Emailed to complain but received no response.

Great use of space, we were an all female party of 5 and had loads of space but think it would work equally well with max capacity of 10. Can’t fault anything.

The accommodation was great. Children enjoyed the bbq and fire pit we made smores. The weather was great and both days my family went for swim inloch.

The location is stunning. Great views of the loch. Property is quirky. Beds were comfortable

This is a very tired property. The couch is the least comfortable thing we’ve ever sat on with lumps and bumps. I’ve included a photo - you can see even by looking at it that it’s no longer serviceable. The only comfortable place to sit was the footstool. When we arrived the fridge was full of water at the bottom and kept resetting itself when you touched the front. We raised this (by message as the office was locked) and a replacement fridge was delivered within an hour - impressive customer service. The top arm of the dishwasher was missing so it only cleaned items at the bottom. Some of the crockery and glassware was chipped and broken. The two shower rooms are downstairs by the back door and so it’s a bit of a trek to use the toilet in the night.

A bit chilly with no way to control heating. When asked were given kindling to start wood burner but it didn't stay lit.

We stayed in the cottage- in need of a little face lift I would say: sofa corner in urgent need of upgrade- it had holes in places. Tv (no sky Chanels or Netflix actually working- just the usual terrestrial channels which kept kids happy on a rainy morning). Two shower rooms are both downstairs with two of the three bedrooms upstairs and a little daunting for 82yr old Gran to go up and down the steep stairs in the middle of the night (luckily we didn’t have to worry about kids going up and down the stairs as their bunk beds are downstairs). All is all a comfortable stay in a basic cottage (we visited the other properties and I can stay that they looked more modern with en-suite bathrooms and sofas that were not caved in! ) kitchen well equipped with all the needed kitchenware and a dishwasher. Clean linen provided and comfy beds. We would definitely come back- just not in the Cottage! Thanks for reading it to the end.
