Beautiful surroundings, close to the sea, nice house, very friendly owner, who picked us up from Madalena and drove to the airport for free, provided fresh breakfast and wine.

Sofa bed a bit small for 2 people..

Unique due to basalt structure; great views of the ocean and Mount Pico

No AC (but you can get a cross breeze by opening both bedroom windows).

Authentic Açores experience. Staff was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Anything we needed he took care of immediately. Great recommendation for places near by also. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area.
