"Wonderful Educational Experience!"

The experience of staying on an Estancia! We really enjoyed our horseback riding experience on the Pampas and the tour of the property by Joselo which was very educational about the fauna and animals. Having the creek and the lagoon on the property is such a bonus. So tranquil. Dinner was an awesome experience and very plentiful and Carmen’s stories were so full of fun and laughter. It is very quiet and peaceful at night and the star gazing after dinner was amazing. There are a lot of old antiques around the property, which make it very unique and interesting. Thank you Carmen and Joselo for making our stay so special and please thank your staff, they are excellent!

"Gorgeous estate, food & people!"

Beautiful Estancia, delicious homemade food and enjoyed the horse riding. Hosts were lovely & super accommodating allowing us to arrive early and helped with our travel plans to get there. We would love to stay again!

"One of the best experiences during our visit to Uruguay."

We were able to go horse riding on Pampas; one of the greatest experiences during our visit to Uruguay. There were very nice dogs (10 out of 10) and a cat (10 out of 10) that was highly appreciated by our kids. The surroundings very very much a Pampas experince. The dinner that was made on the Parilla while we watched was great.

It is the countryside and it is a long bumpy road to get there.

We had a delightful stay at Estancia el Ceibo. The hosts were lovely and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Carmen was very engaged and fun to talk to. Joselo took us around the property, kindly allowed us to catch a fish from the pond, and gave us a lot of information on animals, trees and plants from the area. Home made food was excellent and prepared with care. Joselo's asado wan the contest though :). Our room was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed walking around the property, petting the horses and seeing the sheep sheared. Thanks, Carmen and Joselo, for a wonderful experience at the estancia.

The estancia is beautifully located and the staff is extremely friendly. The meals are exceptional and there are fruits and coffee all day long. There are very friendly animals, too.

The owner is pretty conservative and has some concerning opinions on minorities.
